To start off with my husband and I eat at this location usually 2 times a week with no issues. Today my husband asked for a piece of steak and I do believe the guy's name is Will gave him one that was completely burnt. So we showed our server Angie and she said for us to ask for fresh steak. So I went up there and same guy was there and I asked for steak that was not so black or burned. He instantly got mad and started flipping over all he had and he said something and then he cut me a piece. And I asked him if he could give me another piece for my husband and he said that he couldn't. He said I had to get another plate. So I did and he gave me my husband's steak. And then I was getting mashed potatoes and corn and he was talking about me to the manager right next to the grill. Saying that it is a charbroiler so what do I expect and some other stuff. So I said it is not personal guy I said not everyone likes that burned. And he said something so I told him he should not talk about customers in front of the customer and if he doesn't like his job he should find a different one. And then I walked back to my table. Mind you that the manager on duty did not say anything to him. So my husband and I said we want a refund. While we were waiting for refund he then started talking to 2 other guys about me again. I told him to shut up and said a few other things and he told me to go back in the kitchen because he wanted to fight me. I am a female customer you don't do that. I did however try to go back there because he told me to but the other employees stopped me. The manager is the one who just got promoted from a server. She never did say anything to him all the way up until I was going in the back then she said he needed to go home. But while she was doing my refund. He was serving customers. Read more80% of the food pans available were empty... this was at 3:30 pm on a Wednesday... what was out was so dried up that it had a crust on it...3 pieces of Chicken to choose from. Mash potatoes empty, Their "Awesome Pot Roast" had no meat, only potatoes and carrots. Corn bread was hard as a rock, fried fish was empty, no breaded Shrimp...pulled pork looked like it had been sitting for days and the bottle of barbecue sauce was completely empty and honestly it was so nasty I would not have even attempted to pick it up without gloves on. The people working there look like they could care less about anything they are there for... We asked a lady that brings the drinks if they were going to put out any more food.. she went back and asked and they put out some mashed potatoes, but the gravy was empty and what was out there had a crust on it. I thought I'd try some Taco meat...it literally looked like it had been sitting for so long that no one even attempted to scoop any of it out of the pan.. the edges around the pan were so dried up that it was separating and flaking off... no way it could have been safe for someone to eat anyway without ending up getting sick later. Just terrible..IF and that's a very big IF there is a Manager working at this restaurant.. they should be let go, and replaced, because they obviously do not look at ANYTHING going on with what's out there for their customer to eat. Corporate Golden Corral ...if you read this.. you need to investigate this restaurant! It's been shut down in the past and at this rate, thats not far from happening again if the Health Department does a surprise unannounced visit there. Read moreHorrible! We arrived at 5:00. The beef pot pie was all dry and never was replaced in the hour that we were there. The same with the pot roast. Th prime rib was at the very end and was nothing but gristle and was extremely bloody. The sirloin that my husband got was so tough and gristly that he could not eat it. The soups were almost empty and never were refilled. The chili container was completely fried up and empty. Every time we went back for a plate or bowl, we had to go through three or four before we found one that dos not have dried food on it. The final straw was when my husband went use the restroom and he came back and said "let's go". We asked him why and he said that he just saw one of the cooks use the restroom and not wash his hands. How disgusting! I waited to speak with the manager. When he came out after 10 minutes of waiting, he acted very uninterested. He did 't have any reaction to the state of the food and when I told him about the restroom incident, he asked me what the cook looked like. I told him that I would have to ask my husband. He said that he could not do anything about the employees using the restroom, especially if he did it know who it was. I went to the car to get a description from my husband, and we decided to just leave as it was very clear by his actions that he did not care about the state of the restaurant. The health department really needs to look at this place. We paid $13.99 for each of us and we all had one small plate, as there was not much on the buffet that was fit to eat, or enough of to even get a scoop!
