Graciously, they took me as a walk in (call ahead) JUST before their 730 pm close... and I was so grateful. My normal salon closes at 7 pm and modern was only place near me open. I went in for a full set, dip...no ombre or bedazzlement...I showed a pic where there were 3 colors used, 1 on 3 fingers, 1 on another 3 and 1 on the remaining 4. I was semi irked by the insistence of the mask, being mandates are dropped and in my normal salon and many public places it's now not mandatory, but my irritability was just a result of my sense of anxiousness and hurry against the clock and being "that person" getting in at the wire. The woman tech... her reaction to my chosen design sounding like, ohhhh... like it was such a big deal and gonna be costly... was surprising... and I just said aloud, matter of factly, it's nothing extreme, at all. And made it a direct statement so as not to entertain the dramatization of the request. Lan, "Randy", did my nails... again, I appreciate them taking me, but I was nearly in tears 5 times over what I was seeing as the results... lengths uneven, a little overzealous nail file drilling, several times having to request shaping, to make nail flush at nail bed, and only for a few nails, he'd done it on his own accord on other nails, already, so I anticipated he'd do the same for every nail.
I finally just said, its fine, I'll do fix that at home... and he kept taking me not to worry as he filed the nails with my hand turned, as commonly done any other time as a means to give final filing detail when thru.
**I'd asked 4 times to be sure each color i was asking for was a dip powder color... was told yes... in actuality, the holographic looking color was actually gel polish with a powder rubbed in it with an eyeshadow applicator... and required the uv light process between each application of product to those few nails.
When all was completed, for a full set short standard square tips, dipped ... basic, no ombre ... no coffin shape... he tried to charge $58.
I was already struggling with paying ANYTHING, I was so unsettled by the experience, but I wasn't going to do that. The price given at the start was 40 something, I couldn't quite understand what was said, aside from 40... I gave him 60 and told him to just give me 5 back... to keep simple and avoid the challenging exchange that would be had if I was concerned about the exact dollar charge for the job done.
I won't be returning, and perhaps other people have had great...

Read moreI made an appointment to come here with a friend for two pedicures and a full set. They left me waiting in the pedicure chair for 45 minutes after my appointment time. Leaving someone in a chair for 15-30 minutes might be tolerated, but 45 is unacceptable! If they canât manage their appointment times, they need to re-evaluate their scheduling!
We also had to wait for another tech to arrive to do my friendâs pedicure, which was about 15 minutes before we even were sat in the chairs. After I walked out, I had to wait another 25 minutes before my friend came out. The tech who did her pedicure said that pedicures typically take about 25 minutes, which she had clearly...
