Mortgage application is the most horrid that I have ever seen.
As of April 5, they still have not given me a decision from the application that I submitted February 13, 2019
52 days, as of April 5, 2019, and last contact was, they are waiting for Third Party Verification and why does the credit bureau have a different account number than is on my credit card statement. Like the customer has anything to do with information on the credit report.
27 days after I submitted application, I called to check on progress. I was told that I hadn’t signed the Loan Disclosures. That would be, because I never got them.. oops, the bank says.,
They say they are waiting on appraisal. How long do they take, I ask. 2 weeks, Bret said. Well, this is 17 Days since you submitted it, perhaps the bank might want to check on it.
Next day. I called to find out that the appraisal request, had the street name, but not street address. At that point, I should have run from the ineptness and inefficiency of this irresponsible bank, but I was told that due to the mistakes of the bank, my application would be top priority and I would get a $500 gift card at closing.
2 weeks later, was told I needed to pay down half my credit debt, which I did. Week later, pay half of the remaining debt. At this point, paying off debt was eating into my Down payment, however, I cooperated, as a tentative closing date (today) had been set with Title company.
Next thing was the ‘why does credit bureau have a different account number’, which is an obvious stalling tactic, as they know I don’t have any control over that.
At this point, I told them to give me a definitive answer in 24hours with a Clear To Close, or return my file/documents to me. That afternoon, I got email with all my documents. No explanation. No definitive answer to the application I submitted 51 days ago..
Perhaps they won’t lose your information and continue to screw up. But only if you call them twice a day, and specifically ask if they have done what...
Read moreUsed to be a great bank but things have gone down hill big time for whatever reason. It doesn't feel like a nice community bank anymore. Customer service is at the lowest as it is with most every other place. There are still great employees, but there are a lot who do not care, and a lot of managers and upper level management that does not either. Communcation isn't great within the bank and you can tell. As a long time customer I can say I am very disappointed. I have switched banks and personally am so happy with my new one. I am only leaving this review as I still have one account here I use for getting gas. I have now noticed when you have an item try to clear and are not opted into their overdraft protection rule they return the item, as they should, but now their fee remains. There are also many times I have gone in and not been greeted. I also have had to wait for someone to get an answer from their "back office" or manager and no reply for days. I once had an issue with my Zelle and no one would ever get back with me until the payment was returned to my friend who sent me the money. I have had an item posted to my account that was not mine, then taken out after I had called about it. They have also put "holds" onto my checks, when my other bank has never placed one due to where the funds are coming from as it is a reputable establishment. I really hope things get better...
