I have been coming to Batter Up for most of my life. I have never had anything but a pleasant experience at this wonderful store. The owners are super nice guys, the space is large and impressive, and they do a great job of having something for everyone. More than that, they provide a really nice space for people to build community and be around others with a similar interest. It is often said that there are less and less "third spaces" in society, where people and especially young people can just be together and socialize. While there is an expectation of buying some products at Batters, they have a free Commander night and generally price their products and events very fairly. I will always be grateful for the nice people, the opportunity to be my dorky self in a safe space, and the sense of excitement that they found a way to create.
Additionally, they have an impressive collection of sports memorabilia and always have a game on in the background. They are a true community treasure and I hope their doors stay open forever. Thanks for everything, then, now and in the...
Read moreI remember as a kid back in 1999 when Pokemon cards came out me and my friends would come here, among other places, to buy booster packs. You'd walk up to a case stocked full of holographic cards, which at that time fetched a substantial price. Do I have proof that something happened 20 years ago when I was a naive 13 year old? Well no. But out of the hundreds of packs we as kids bought from this store, not a single one ever contained a holo. This was never an issue when we purchased packs from any other location. At least one person in our group would pull a holo out of the 20 packs or so we'd purchase from a single booster box.
So I'll let you decide. Statistical anomaly or shady business practices that take advantage of...

The staff is friendly and If you are into sports cards, they definitely have a ton of cards.
They have quite a bit of pokemon singles, but I found it very strange that they have fake AliExpress "metal cards" mixed in with their real cards. I've never seen a reputable store with these, and I would tread with caution only because those products are usually only sold to people who don't know better.
For other card games, they have a small bit of yugioh bulk and mostly sealed magic product.
Their e-mails listed on their website and official Google business is a little strange and also didn't exist when I attempted to...
