Stopped by Florida citrus center in ocala on our way back home from homosassa springs. My family and I drove down from Ohio due to a family emergency. We stopped here to check it out and tried some samples they had set out, loved the red navels so we purchased the 1/4 bushel totaling 20$ and some odd cents. We get home the next morning first and have a red navel orange was good juicy and sweet like the ones we tasted at the store. As we progress on half the red navels aren't even red or pink they're just orange and then several was very dry and almost tasteless. When my fiance got the last orange out he noticed a webpage so I went to it found the number and called. The lady was very nice on the phone we explained everything she said to email the address she gave us explaining what was going on and send a picture of the bag. I did, the person emailed back saying they need a picture of the receipt and of the oranges. I told her my mom had purchased them for us we don't have a receipt and the last orange was thrown away due to it being gross (dry and tasteless) so they proceeded to tell me there's nothing they can do about it. I'd be cautious buying product from...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOn March 27th I purchased two bags of fruit. On my arrival to Michigan the following morning I opened the bags to find rotten fruit, not to mention they had stickers on them for California fruit. A total waist of 42.90. I contacted Denise at the office and she instructed me to email a copy of the receipt and photos of the bad fruit. I did and I was disappointed two weeks later to get a check for $20. I emailed back to Denise explaining this was unacceptable, and I expected a full refund. She emailed me back stating āCorrespondence in the mail ā . After waiting another week, I received a $10 gift certificate. Mind you I live 1200 miles a way and this is still 12 dollars short of my purchase price. I called her back again today to express my Dissatisfaction with the resolution, and she stated well thatās all weāre going to do. I would not recommend doing any business with...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI am so sad! Florida native, havenāt lived there in years, rarely in town, and made a special trip on my drive back to TX to buy a big 22lb bag of oranges to share with my friends back home. I just bought them on 2/11/25 and when I got back 2/12, I went to take one out and it was horribly rotten! I threw it away and found that there were 2 others that had been infected too so I also threw those out. Didnāt think it was too big of a deal, so I didnāt take pictures.
THEN! The next day I go to make some fresh squeezed orange juice and to my dismay I found even more rotten ones, a shocking amount! :(
I took pics of those because by this point it amounted to about half the bag of oranges needing to be thrown out due to rot.
Giving two stars because even though the rotten fruit is very sad, the store people were so nice to me. I feel bad even reporting this but Iām just so...
