Galindo's Barbershop Conroe — Local services in The Woodlands

Second and last time to get a cut from Galindo's. Not my normal Barber but they are definitely convenient which is why I gave them a second try. Made an early appointment, explain to first barber I wanted compressed drop fade. She was honest and said that she can only do stretch fades but that another barber could do a compressed fade. I was like fine, explain to that Barber that I wanted a zero guard not all the way bald. Proceeded to set the line with a half guard instead of what I asked for and by the time I left I left with a low Temple fade with a half guard, not the guard that I asked for. On their website they state that their lower level barbers get supervision.... Two times I've been there that none of the barbers, experienced or not were supervised by more experienced people. And to add insult to injury, when they switched me to the other barber giving, they charge me more for a higher level Barber, which would be fine if she gave me what I wanted but ultimately without my consent to getting charged more. I had a Sunday morning appointment at 9am that I scheduled online. Tough part is when I arrived I realized they didn't open until 10 am. I needed a cut and beard trim badly so I decided to ride it out. Once the doors opened the staff was super friendly, apologized for the mistake and got to work trying to fix the problem, even to the point of checking the other location just up the road. Tyson was my Barber and he was awesome. He apologized for the inconvenience and went as far as to take ownership of the situation. Seems they have a new online scheduling system and he didn't update his availability. A minor hiccup was all it was. Things like that happen in life. A new Barber to this area and boy am I glad he's here. Tyson gave me the best haircut and beard trim Ive had in probably 3 years. For me the measure of a company isn't if the don't make a mistake. Its what they do when they do make a mistake. This time they get 5 stars from the Manager recognizing the issue, to the staff at the front working to resolve the problem, and again to my guy, Tyson. All he needs now is a sharpening or a new pair of Hanzo's. See you next...

I've been getting my haircut at Galindo's now for over a year and a half now. Jo is my barber and she does a fantastic job. Previously I had always gone to a chain haircut establishment, mainly out of convenience. Almost every time I'd visit I'd have a different stylist and was always having to repeat my haircut preferences. Then I'd have to sit there and pray that the stylist understood my directions and was capable of executing them. Most of the time it was just "ok" and got the job done. Sometimes I didn't get so lucky and would have to suffer with the bad haircut. The experience at Galindo's is the exact opposite. When I sit down in the chair with Jo, I KNOW I will be getting a great haircut. It's a great feeling to have a barber that you can consistently rely on and have confidence in. I no longer grimace at the thought of getting my haircut. Now, I'm always looking forward to the next cut. I can relax in the barber's chair, have great conversation and enjoy a beverage. Spend the few extra bucks and get a quality cut at Galindo's. I don't think you'll regret it.
