KC Event Center and Food Park — Restaurant in Conroe

We held a party here July 28/18. I'm still waiting on half of my deposit. Friday the 7/27, I met with Jeff. He informed me of the remodeling they had done. They went with lighter colors , so as when "cowboys in boots" put their feet on the walls we can keep the deposit. It was then I asked isn't this connected to a church, he said " the Catholic Church"... If this is how Catholic Churches are behaving, I'm so glad I quit going to a Catholic Church!!!! As far as the deposit goes. I sent him MO for it. Mailed certified so he signed for it . If the deposit was only $200. Why would I send $400 and he cash it. Never mentioned it was the wrong amount. Which I mailed in April, party was July. Why has my money not been returned?

From July 28 Aug 23 text sent, he stated treasurer was checking on it. As of today I have not heard anything else abt this. Nor has anyone from KofC contacted me .

UPDATE* JEFF SENT ME AND MY HUSBAND A TEXT ON 8/29/18 SAYING CHECK WAS MAILED ON 8/28/18.

I RECEIVED A VOICEMAIL FROM DAN GREGORY STATING THAT THERE WAS A MISTAKE MADE ON HIS PARTY DUE TO 2 PARTIES BEING BOOKED WITH THE SAME LAST NAME.

I RETURNED MR. GREGORY'S CALL STATING I WAS CONFUSED BECAUSE JEFF STATED WE OVER PAID THE DEPOSIT & CHECK WAS MAILED ON 8/28/18. YOUR SAYING IT WAS A MISTAKE ON YOUR PART & CHECK WAS MAILED ON 8/29/18. HE STATED THE DEPOSIT IS ALWAYS $400. THESE PEOPLE MAKE ARE ONE REASON CATHOLICS HAVE A BAD REPUTATION.

For context I live behind the KC Hall. They recently expanded the parking lot in the back and had to dig a trench to run new electrical wires. In doing so they encroached on my property, removed boards and cracked the bottom supporting board in my fence. I spoke to the gentleman in charge of the project when it happened and he told me it would be fixed, however he refused to identify himself. Since I didn't know who he was or what was going on at the time, I called the police to file a report. The police spoke to me, confirmed the damage and spoke to the gentleman on the otherside of the fence confirming they would fix the damage. It has been about 3 months since this happened and the fence is still broken. I have made many calls to all parties involved and have gotten nowhere. The most irritating part of this is that I can no longer put my dogs outside unsupervised due to the missing boards and hole in the back. Why would an event center host a gathering of anti-americans who hate our country and support criminals? Holding a January 6th event that is praising over 1,000 criminals who have been convicted of trying to overthrow the govt. and the peaceful transference of power would not be something I would want to be supporting as a business. But it's 2024 and this business must support criminals too. Shameful owner to allow this...
