I am writing to express my deep disappointment with both the quality of the food and the lack of proper customer service during my recent visit to your restaurant.
I ordered several items off the menu, including the Vietnamese General Tso tofu dish. Unfortunately, this dish was an absolute letdown. The tofu was encased in a thick batter that had an overwhelmingly bitter taste, making it inedible. Despite being quite embarrassed to complain, I finally spoke up after forcing myself to eat 3-4 pieces, hoping the bitterness might have been a fluke. However, the unpleasant taste persisted, and it was clear that the dish was simply not up to standard.
When I brought this issue to your staff's attention, I was shocked by the lack of understanding and refusal to honor my complaint. Given that the dish cost $12.95 and was, in my estimation, worth around $6 to prepare, it is baffling that you chose to prioritize a few dollars over customer satisfaction. For a mere $6, you’ve not only lost a customer but also left me with a bitter taste, both literally and figuratively.
This experience has left me questioning your commitment to customer satisfaction and basic respect for your patrons. Your restaurant's unwillingness to address a genuine concern speaks volumes about how you value your customers—or rather, how little you do.
I sincerely hope that you will take this feedback to heart and reconsider how you handle customer complaints in the future. Ignoring issues and letting your ego dictate your actions is a surefire way to drive your business into the ground. I had expected much better from your establishment, and I am deeply disappointed by the experience.
Thank you for your attention to...
Read moreI wish I could give this place three and a half stars. It just doesn't quite deserve 4 in my opinion. We were super excited to see vegan options so we made a special trip while in town.
The vegan spring rolls were incredibly disappointing. Iceberg lettuce, two thin strawberry slices and baked tofu. No basil, chive or cilantro. They were very bland. The peanut sauce was peanut butter it was so chunky. We added some soy sauce and stirred it in to make it sauce like so we could dip.
Next was the vegan bahn mi which was the biggest disappointment. Bland, unseasoned, limp tofu. No BBQ sauce, chives, pickles or kim che. Just sliced carrots. It was like salad on a roll. I was so disappointed. No sweet or savory flavors - nothing. It was actually unpleasant bitng into the simple white roll and then hitting the limp, white, unseasoned tofu. We didn't even get through half of the sandwich.
The vegan pho was okay. Not very hearty. I appreciated the onions. More soft, bland tofu. I think frying the tofu could enliven it. It was my favorite of the dishes.
Service was okay. Ended up having to go to the pay station to check out. The restaurant smelled good and was clean. Food came out in a timely fashion and seems to be made with fresh ingredients. I was so excited to try this place and ultimately the food was quite a let down. Also no tamari or gluten free soy sauce for gluten free people.
Would I would I eat here again? Yes. Would I look forward to it? No. The pho is fine. The vegan food just seemed completely uninspired despite the delightful...
Read moreWe ordered takeout from Saigon USA Pho & Grill last weekend. Even after waiting before I left to pick up the meals, the food wasn’t ready and I had to wait. We ordered a Pho Ga (chicken), Vegan Pho and 2 Vegan sandwiches. When I got home the broth containers were not labeled and looked the same . I called them back and asked which brother was which and they said both broths were beef broths. The menu clearly states that the Pho Ga comes with chicken noddle soup and the Vegan Pho comes with a vegetable broth. They told me to come back to get another broth and didn’t even offer to deliver it even though their menu says free delivery for orders over $18. I asked them to have the broth ready when I get there. Of course it wasn’t ready when I arrived. They then told me after all this they didn’t have Chicken broth. We got 2 Vegetable broths. I showed them on their menu that our dishes didn’t include beef broth. One clue should have been if you order vegan dishes, you dont want meat in them. After all of this they didn’t even care.
The reason for a 2 rather than a 1 was though the service was bad, the Pho was good. In a previous review a long time ago I read their broth tasted like dish soap. This is why we never went there after all the years they were open even though we live very close. I don’t agree with that review. The Bahn Mi sandwiches were ok, but a bit dry. In other they add a sauce. I think maybe the sweeter brown sauce that comes with the Pho. That would have been a nice adder to the Bahn...
