If I could give this place zero stars I would. Today we went to go see a movie with my dad We went to go order snacks and drinks. The kid behind the counter violently caughed on everything he handed us. Since its flu season we tossed it all and lost $24 on our drinks and food. Wasn't going to take the chance. Ok we go into movie theater about 10 minutes before start. The theater was filthy, garbage everywhere. I wanted this to be a nice experience to take my family for christmas holidays so I did not say anything. Didnt want to look like an a** in front of parents. Now here is the great part. The movie was over and both my sister and dad needed to use the restroom. So I stood outside the men's rr waiting for my dad in case he needed help back to car. The same red headed young kid rudely asked me to move because I was blocking traffic. I kindly moved near the benches in the middle right outside mens room. Literally I was standing up against the bench and he again came over to me and very loudly told me I needed to move because I was causing traffic to block the entrance. 1. There were no people coming in or out at the time. 2. I was standing near the waiting benches so I was in no way blocking traffic or causing a disruption of ingress and egress. This kid must have told me 10 times I needed to move. I kept telling him I was waiting on my elderly dad to get out of restroom. He literally started screaming at me telling I needed to move. I then told him I would move when my dad got out of restroom. That is when he started getting closer to me in a very threatening way shouting "just move lady". At this point he was so upset he was screaming, crying and holding his face with his hands like he was having a full on meltdown to get me to move. I asked him to get his manager 3 times and all 3 times he told me no and to just do what he said and move. The entire thing was so bizarre. I looked around for manager but could not find one. We decided to leave and just never go back to that theater. As my family and I got into the car and replayed all the events with this lunatic, we decided there must be something mentally wrong or challenged in some way. I am all for hiring people with mental issues, but if they can't keep their anger under control they should not employee them. I was shook. He scared me and I would never recommend this place. That red headed teenager is ruining your movie theater. He is a major liability. The entire place is just mismanaged. No way people will continue going there with that kinda service. I hope their management sees this and makes some personnel changes. This is not going to last long especially in a place like The Woodlands and at those prices....
Read moreWe went to go see the movie Dungeons and Dragons. We normally come here and have a positive experience but last night we were not impressed at all. The place was not clean at all, soda on the floor, popcorn on the floor, and no paper towels in the restroom. The chairs in the theatre were comfortable but looked like they had never been cleaned (popcorn stuck in the arm rests). We ordered pizza, popcorn and drinks before going into the movie. As we were ordering, the young boy at the counter taking our order kept running his hands through his hair while wearing a pair of gloves. After we got done ordering he grabbed a popcorn bag with the same pair of gloves on and was about to start pouring popcorn in our bag. Before he poured some in we asked him if he could change his gloves out since we had just watched him touch his hair with his gloves. He seemed to have gotten upset but did changed into a new pair of gloves. When he said the popcorn bag down on the counter we picked it up and threw it away, and when he came back, he was upset about us disposing of the bag. He let his manager know we had thrown it away and he seemed to be bothered as well. We went over and explained to him about his employee running his hands through his hair with his gloves on and how he had grabbed our bag and was going to pour our popcorn in like that but the manager on shift did not seem to care. He nodded his head, did not make eye contact, was not apologetic and just went back to what he was doing. Awful customer service. We will not be...
Read moreStandard theater experience. The local Cinemark has a better experience for a similar ticket price. The customer service here is lacking but has improved; the employees still seem apathetic and bored. Also, the bathroom location is odd (passed the ticket booth). The reclined seating is wonderful and spacious, and the projector quality is good, so if that's all you care about it's a decent deal.
The first time I went was before anyone knew they were open (y'all seriously need better marketing); it was a ghost town. I saw Solo on opening weekend with a friend and we were the only ones in that theater. What seemed like a dream was actually a ruined experience, especially for a Star Wars movie. I gave the theater another shot a week later (it actually had people this time!), but the customer service was still very poor. No one was smiling, and it wasn't busy yet everyone acted rushed and confused. This theater desperately needs better training and marketing, and possibly new management if this continues. Hopefully it's just a rushed, premature launch, so I'll give it a third try after the summer.
Edit: I came back to watch Halloween in October. There's a bigger crowd now (theater is half full) and the customer service is slightly better, so I added one star, but I'm still not impressed with the experience. They do have a discount Tuesday, but they're still more expensive than Cinemark. Give me more to justify your price or lower your price to match the competition, but please improve your...
