I wasn't originally going to leave an Aldi review, because frankly I was frustrated by an early morning miscommunication about bag eligibility during the grand opening. However, after seeing some very unfair reviews that lead to a poor overall rating for this new store, I felt like I needed to add my voice.
This is a wonderful store and a nice addition to the community. While Aldi has some policies that may take getting used to, like the quarter to get a cart out and the bag situation, It is a good clean store with a unique selection of goods and some nice bargains.
From my experience with the store so far and what I have heard from others, a big strength to this store is in good prices on niche items that tend to be expensive in other stores. For example, gluten free food. Looking around, there were definitely bargains to be had.
The staff was friendly and welcoming, and from what I heard it sounds like Aldi pays them relatively well for the role, which I appreciate in a store.

Read moreI am not from Thomasville and I stopped in today to shop. I did not have a case quarter so I walked into the store and asked an associate if she could give me one to put into the grocery cart. The employee made a mean face and acted like I had ruined her day because she had to stop stocking the shelf and wait on me. I felt very unwelcomed . I did consult with the manager and he thanked me for shopping with them and he apologized for her behavior. If you’re going to work in the public I feel like you should have good customer service skills. I work in the public and I try to be nice , polite, and patient with people. I have to say I did not have a very good experience because of the way I was treated. Maybe next time my experience...
Read moreI shop at Tallahassee's Aldis all the time and the prices they have in Thomasville are way higher than what I usually see there. I bought a box of shredded wheat cereal for $2.75 in thomasville just to see the same cereal in Tallahassee for $2.07 in the same week. The same thing for multiple different items as well. The store is well organized yet that pricing needs to be done better than this
Edit: I did come back recently and I have seen multiple prices drop from what they were at the first few weeks of opening. Saw that pack of spring water i bought went from $3.79 to $3.49 along with other items. The pricing is about the same as the other ALDI in nearby towns. Let's keep it...
