Last Thursday night I was attending karaoke night and I was sitting by the bar the 2nd table from the right when a respectful lady came to talk to customer to calm her down and this not my first time seeing her cause she work there I believe but as I was saying the young lady was talking to lady at the table to calm her down she seemed okay when she walked away from the table but 5 minutes later the customer tried to leave the restaurant with one bar drink and the manager stepped in front of her like she was about to attack her. The other lady that was talking to the customer was coming from around the corner trying to see what was going on.... so on yesterday I was there last night and seen the young lady sitting at the bar with another coworker and I over heard the bartender telling the young lady that he have to wait to serve her cause the manager said so 10 minutes later the young bartender came back to the young lady and told her she had leave ..... which I didn't understand cause she didn't do anything or even get a chance order anything... so end of the story I would never come back to king claw or recommend any one to work up there cause the manager is unfair and this not my first experience which somthing like this happened ( you fired a employee and banned them from up there ) that is crazy to me I feel like if they have money to come spend they should be able to eat just like everyone.... king claw need a new...
Read moreAs a Resident from New Orleans, and very very seafood oriented. This seafood boil was an utter slap to the face for me. Especially when I come from a city that does NOTHING but seafood. The flavor could have been better and the food didn’t have to be bathed in almost what looks like a cup of chili oil and grease. I’m sorry, but with each and every bite I took of the crawfish, corn, crab, and potatoes.. it was jam packed and LOADED with so much grease and chili oil? I was better off buying live crawfish and overnighting them from New Orleans and making my own boil from scratch. I do not think I can come back to this place. Like I seriously never been disappointed in seafood in my life, much less be so disrespected by it. And for those who give this place 5 stars for the boil, you guys must have NEVER been to New Orleans and tried some REAL Seafood boils. I can almost guarantee that if you guys bring your particular boils to New Orleans at an event or something against other residents who boil for a living, this would automatically be kicked off the venue. And mind you, I just moved here from New Orleans about 3-4 months ago from the date of this review. I know what I’m talking about when it comes to seafood and flavor. Never have I ever seen anything like this.
Please guys, you should change your recipe for the boil, cause this one is NOT it. I’m sorry for giving such a cold hearted review, but what needs to be said...
Read moreGreat place for enjoying southern boil. Absolutely enjoyed it.
I really loved the ambience and the decor of the restaurant. It's amazingly clean and looks great. Our host was really sweet. We ordered the half pound shrimp(headless) boil and a chicken tender basket, with onion rings. The menu stated that we could substitute the sides in the chicken tender basket but I was charged extra for the onion rings. Maybe I read the menu wrong, but that's alright. The shrimp boil was amazing. The cajun seasoning was just awesome. The potatoes tasted amazing. The shrimp were big and juicy. I could taste the garlic, butter, the lemon and all the goodness of the boil. It was great. The chicken tenders were great too. They were a little dry to my preference but the flavors were great. The cajun fries was okay. The onion rings was the highlight. I am not a big fan of onion rings but they were awesome and although I had to pay extra for them, I am glad I ordered them. They were really crispy on the outside and warm and soft on the inside. It was great. The sauces were amazing, too. Our host was kind enough to bring us all three different ones and they were awesome.
We really enjoyed our experience at King Claw, Thomasville. The restaurant is really clean including bathrooms which were kept super clean. I appreciate that. I would definitely go back again to try other boils...
