I went to the store for an online purchase return. A woman at the register repeatedly asked if I was returning everything I brought in (which was obvious) and laughed in a condescending manner at the amount of pieces. I felt really uncomfortable with the exchange. I had purchased 3x that amount of RL branded gifts for Christmas and was returning what went unwanted. I am allowed to return unwanted items.

I was then told I could only receive store credit since they weren't outlet items. The problem there was I had called 5 hrs. prior to my visit to confirm the return at that location - stating it was an online purchase. No parameters were mentioned to me during that call.

Overall, it was a negative experience. I was more disappointed in the reaction by the employee than the misinformation about the return policy.

On 8/31/25, Alexander, the manager of RL factory store 42 and his staff made me feel unappreciated and embarrassed. I came to the store after a nice day at the beach to exchange 3 new unworn and tagged t-shirts because the 2 I bought, worn and washed shrunk 1.5 inches. He and his staff looked at me with disgust and shame when they saw I have 4 accounts and was accused of “bulk-buying”. I don’t know why I have 4 accounts and have no control on establishing/modifying RL factory user accounts. He and his staff said the problem is “I buy too much!”. Alexander decided not to allow the exchange even though I have the receipt because the color is no longer available and I cannot choose a different color. Took two styles of boys shirts both large and XL sizes to check out long lines. And the cashier gave us a BS about customers are limited to buy only one specific size for each style. l explained we need both sizes so my son can try which one will fit when he gets home but she didn't understand lol. The manager came over and repeated the same BS and rudely took the shirts like someone trying to steal them from the store. We never heard of this before and ended up not buying anything.
