First of all, I would like to say that I hate to give businesses a bad review and specially in the Toledo area, but Dickās Sporting Goods leaves me no choice. My complaint is based on two separate occasions. The first one was a few Christmases ago. I had a Northface jacket that I received for a Christmas gift and it did not fit. it is too small so I take it back to Dickās Sporting Goods and they do not want to make the return. It was a lady manager with glasses. And she told me that my jacket possibly could be stolen and Iām like this is a Christmas gift and she said thatās what everybody says!
Incident number two was last Saturday. I know Dickās Sporting Goods has fishing equipment I was to a Dickās in Fort Lauderdale Florida and they had tons of fishing equipment when I walk into the Franklin Park location and walk around the upstairs area. I get followed by two gentleman that work there and one of them come up to me and says what are you looking for? I told him Iām looking for the fishing equipment. He laughed, and then the other gentleman rudely said that we havenāt carried fishing equipment since five years Iām like well I just came back from Florida. I didnāt know, and he proceeded to follow me down the escalator and as I was approaching the exit.
This is complete prejudice
Iām really not sure why that I experience too bad incidents at this store keep in mind I am well dressed gentleman iSpeak, appropriate I do not make any itās obscene gestures I like to think of myself as a gentleman but I guess Dickās Sporting Goods has prove me wrong with hatred and prejudice I am done going to the store and even shopping online. Walked over to youth sizes and she picked out a pair within minutes. There was a young blonde man with a name tag talking to 2 young ladies in the shoe section. We waited patiently for him to ask if we needed help. He kept laughing and smiling and talking with the girls. I looked at my watch to see if he would pick up my vibe after a while... He didn't. I even held the shoe my daughter wanted and stood right next to him hoping he would notice. I was looking for another associate and it was like a ghost town. As, we continued to the shoe department we had to ask for help as the employee just looked at us. Continued, to the helmet area to be met with no help as a employee blow up balls and continued to bounce them hard which was right in front of the helmet's so weird that he couldn't help after being asked a few questions it was clear he didn't want to help us.
