Tolono Family Dental — Local services in Tolono

I went to Molina Healthcare's website, and spoke with a representative. Both informed me that an adult 21 years and older was entitled to one free routine dental cleaning every six months. I went to Tolono Family Dental and was told by the dentist that that wasn't the case. That for adults, there was a discounted cleaning, at a price of $60.00. I went home and double checked the website and recalled Molina and was told, again, that every six months any adult on Molina Healthcare with Avesis is entitled to a free routine cleaning. So, Tolono Family dental tried to charge me $60.00 for something I am entitled to free free under Molina. In addition, I have teeth missing in need of a fixed bridge, which is ready and waiting at Dr. Scott Anderson's office in Champaign. (I can not afford to pick it up, as I am on disability.) Anyway, she x-rayed the area, and told me a fixed bridge would not work in that part of my mouth. Never mind that Dr. Anderson (Google him) has an outstanding reputation and fifty years experience, and said that a fixed bridge WOULD work in that part of my mouth. She is obviously right and he is obviously wrong. Stay away from Tolono...

5 STAR SERVICE FOR SURE! As a dental patient with TMJ and a horrible gag reflex, dental work has not been a pleasant experience in my life. I honestly just gave up and let my teeth go because I dread even the thought of going to the dentist. Unfortunately, that approach only last so long until you NEED to get things fixed. I had moved to Tolono so I decided why not give the local Dentist a chance. Best decision I ever made. Before I would go in for minor work and my mouth would hurt for days or even weeks. I walk out of here pain free every time with way more work than I ever had done before. I have had several cavities filled, crowns, periodontal treatments, and more. They are extremely considerate about my conditions and somehow keep me coming back after 20 years of refusing to. Dr. Vu is an incredible dentist with great help. Both hygienist I have seen have been awesome and very considerate as well. Autumn is always great working around my hectic schedule and making sure I get in even when I mess it up. This is hands down the best dentist I have ever been to. I wish we could take them with us when we move. They have been wonderful in helping us get the care we need quickly and have worked wonderful with Tricare military insurance. If you are military this is the place to come. DON'T GO WHERE LHI TRIES TO SEND YOU. The receptionist Lacey really knows her stuff. Everyone here is really nice and friendly and the dentist is good at what they do. They are small but they have comfortable couches in the waiting area and each dental chair has a TV above it to help take your mind off of why your there.
