Smoke & Shine — Restaurant in Tolono

The Eclipse traffic seemed to bring a few more people than a small town bar/lounge is accustomed to on an early April Monday evening. As this is a small town place, BE PATIENT! They don't have the luxury of having extra staff to cater to an unusual rush, however, the food (and cocktails) are outstanding! Generous portions of the pulled pork. The Carolina Mustard BBQ Sauce is excellent. The Double Cheese burger and BLT were large for the price and very much to my daughters' liking. The appetizers/sides, thought not large are adequate size and my onion rings were excellent. The mozzarella sticks disappeared so apparently my girls enjoyed them. All in all, a place I will return to whenever I go back that way. Definitely recommend the Pineapple Upside Down Cocktail for those that are looking for a nip...

We had a friend recommend great food and we were very disappointed. Smoked pulled pork was great! Service did not care that they messed up our other order item even though it was entered on our ticket correctly. I HAD TO ASK THEM TO REMOVE AN ITEM , from the ticket they made wrong and we were allergic to.

Very sad to see..

It's always frustrating to see other tables get food before you, and then for you to pay full price for chips and cheese that took 35 minutes.

This place is a hidden gem down in Tolono. Great food and atmosphere. We will definitely be back to try more things from the menu! They have daily food and drink specials as well as an affordable main menu. The spicy cheese curds were especially food, as are the selection of house BBQ sauces. The only criticism my husband could come up with was that the smash burgers were not quite big enough for the patty melt bun, but that is a pretty small oversight to an otherwise delicious sandwich.
