Maurices — Local services in Tomah

If I could rate this location a zero, I most certainly would. I’ve been shopping at this specific location for almost ten years now. Over the years the customer service has drastically decreased to the point of non-existence.

Like many others have mentioned, when I entered the store there were three ladies talking near the cash registers. They did not welcome nor greet me upon entrance. In fact when one did glance our direction, I presume she was the manager, I received the dirtiest look of my life. They continued to ignore me for the duration of my visit. Meanwhile, the lady who gave me the dirty look, proceeded to assist an older patron who was no more than twenty feet away from where I was browsing.

It is so disheartening when I remember a time when I could enter the store and receive exemplary customer service. I will never shop here again and honestly as a woman of color, I would warn all my friends of color not to shop here as well.

I would prefer to make the drive to the Dells where staff is always friendly and welcoming. I would also recommend to anyone else receiving this poor level of customer service to take the extra step and report your concerns to the corporate office.

All that aside I am still a huge fan of the company and the clothing. However, I will choose to spend my money online or at other locations that can appreciate...

Unfortunately I didn't feel very welcomed when I entered this location. There were only two other guests checking out at the register when I entered and I was not greeted or even acknowledged until I was browsing right next to the register. Then a young woman said hello and directed me to what I was looking for. She seemed the most friendly out of the bunch. I went to check out and the girl behind the register seemed cold. I did nothing rude and I was trying to be nice and pleasant. Then someone who I assume worked there entered as I was leaving. She had a culvers order in her hand so I held the door for her, but she also seemed dismissive, and I felt like she said "thanks" in a snooty manner. I left the place feeling like I had something wrong with me. I just have to say the staff at Walmart are more welcoming than these young women. They might need to be re-trained in...

I don’t know if the girls working we’re having an off day, or what the problem was, but I was NOT impressed when I stopped in today.

There were three girls behind the counter and each of them made eye contact with me when I walked in, but not a single one greeted me or asked if I needed help. I was looking for a dress for a wedding next month. I located all the dresses in the store quickly. Still there was no addressing me or inquiry as to whether I needed help or not.

I spent maybe five minutes total in the store and didn’t find anything that would work for me. When I left, none of the girls acknowledged me at all.

Sad to say but I’ll probably take my business elsewhere from now on, which is a shame because Maurices always has such...
