Dr. Allen Greenbaum at SightMD in Harrison, NY is not only an extremely competent opthamologist and surgeon, but a naturally caring person, who loves what he does and treats patients with patience in answering all questions, of which there have been many!

I have been nearsighted since I was six, and at 74, had developed pretty extreme astigmatism, as well.

I woke up this morning after yesterday's cataract surgery of my right eye, with distance vision so clear, precise and detailed, and colors so vivid that I had actually never, in my recollection, seen them before.

A "miracle" sounds like a cliche. It is not.

PS - The above my review of Dr. Greenbaum and Sight MD after my cataract surgery, now 2 years ago. I continue to feel very fortunate to be in such good hands with Dr. Greenbaum. The staff at Sight MD are chosen with care. All the assistants were extremely professional, but also, I could tell they like their jobs and are here with a genuine purpose to ensure the good health and care of their patients.

Let me start by saying that Dr. Alan Greenbaum is a wonderful doctor, but the company he works for is awful. I've been a patient of Dr, Greenbaum's for over 20 years. He did cataract surgery on both my eyes and I have had check ups with him throughout the years . I called to make an appointment, they asked me for my insurance which I gave them and made the appointment. When I arrived they asked me for my Medicare card and I didn't have it with me. I said, if necessary, I'd bring it in tomorrow. That wasn't good enough. The receptionist behind the desk said she would get the manager. She came over and said I couldn't have the appointment without the card. Again I said I would bring it in tomorrow. the manager also said no. I said please ask Dr. Greenbaum who knows me well and she refused to ask and said "those are the rules". So I left and told them I would never come back. This is no way to practice medicine and it is no way to practice business. ...

I’ve been seeing Alan Greenbaum for many years as has my family and many other people that I know. I have always found him very professional. I trust his judgment in all matters of my eye care and I just had my first cataract surgery, and I am so pleased with the result and can’t wait to do the other eye in two weeks.. Follow-up Oct. 2025: I had a great experience with my second cataract surgery months ago and I just had my check up this past week. I was there a total of 35 minutes from getting to the office and checking in having them check my eyes daylight my pupils and having Dr Greenbaum check that everything was fine with my eyesight and he said I don’t need to come back for a year. I can’t tell you enough how grateful I am for the surgery and for his care I did do the extra cost laser added to my cataract surgery and I no Longer need any glasses for reading,...
