I saw Dr. Katz for the first time yesterday and he took time to examine the inflammation in my eyelids. His staff had already done some testing. Overall, I was satisfied with the exam and felt reassured. Finally, Dr. Katz gave me his personal phone number so that I could follow up as needed, including sending a photo of my eyes.

I limited my stars to four because it's my only visit to that office.

November 2022: My second visit was less impressive. Despite my doing preliminary online check in, it took a long time when I arrived. Then I waited more as other patients were called. Finally, I got superficial testing by a disinterested assistant. Then to another waiting area. I saw Dr. Katz 30 minutes after the start of my appointment.

Dr. Katz did a thorough exam and also an eyeglass prescription, which he stated was similar to my previous by my optometrist. I received his prescription when I checked out. When I got home I noticed that his prescription numbers were quite different.

Finally, today was a VERY sunny day. My eyes had been dilated. When I got outside I had an exceptionally difficult time adjusting my vision. I should have been evaluated for this before being allowed to leave.

Overall, I still think that Dr. Katz is a good eye doctor but I am less anxious to schedule another annual...

The Dr was awesome and the visit was quick. Now the staff at front desk was very unprofessional. I was called by thier assistant 2 x and both times they used my first name only. When i stood up There was 2 of us with same name . I explained to the young lady she needs to use 2 patient Identifiers. Next lady calls me in and does same thing ! I had to reschedule my first time due to not being informed i needed a referral. I rescheduled. The day of my appointment after seeing the Dr i was told that i had to pay because my referral was incorrect . No one informed me when i was called night before that the referral was wrong. I had actually rescheduled this appointment 3 x and no one took time to check this. Then they checked me in with no problem. Then to tell me my referral is wrong after i see the Dr .. This is very unprofessional and frustrating. I had to call my PCP and have them send me the correct referral. Maybe if they stay off the cell phone . This wouldn’t...

I went to see Dr. Neil Katz for cataract surgery evaluation. From start to finish, this was an easy, pleasant eye doctor appointment. The front office staff was pleasant and professional. My wait was minimal. I was initially greeted by Maria a tech who did my eye exam, took a history, and did some other preliminary testing. Then onto Eugene for an eye scan. Both Maria and Eugene were professional, personable, and explained everything they were doing in a language I understood. I then Saw Dr. Katz for the last portion of my visit. Dr. Katz was patient, thorough, explained everything very well. He also assured me that the cataract surgery should be done when I was ready to do it. He explained the procedure, the recovery period, etc. I felt very much at ease with Dr. Katz and the entire staff.
