They have joined the ranks of medical gaslighters. I had an appointment very recently where scheduling made an error by making it too early. Had to be a certain amount of time after another procedure. Instead of Dr apologizing for mistake he lays into me that I should have told the scheduling person how to make appointment. Excuse me?!? A patient should be telling your employees how to do their job? He went around that circle a few times and spoke louder and louder over me. Then he starts to rail about how in the 14 years he has been there scheduling can't do anything right. This sounds like an internal issue to me and a Dr who failed customer interaction. When I called and they made me speak to "patient" advocate who was certainly not advocating for me. I relayed incident and I realized she wasn't paying attention so I asked he does she think this behavior is correct? Wait for it ... She says "what behavior?" Palm slap to forehead. I tell the lovely advocate to refund my money I had prepaid for procedures, cancel my three existing appointments. They had one more go at gaslighting. "We don't want you to loose out on a great opportunity" I just told you the Dr spoke to me in an unacceptable fashion, why would I reward him with money? I have other options and I will take advantage of them. Then I hung up. Why are we subjected to this crap? Especially those of us with chronic conditions. My voice may be small but I will never...
Read moreGREAT orthopaedic facility/family. They really Really REALLY know their stuff. Masters of their craft !!
They are ALL ON POINT FROM RECEPTION to REHAB! 🙂👍 They've ABSOLUTELY SUCCEEDED WITH FLYING COLORS in making this facility a ONE STOP SHOP for everybody's orthopaedic needs.
Their systems are so SEAMLESS and STREAMLINED. THERE'S NO NEED to run all around town to get THIS & THAT DONE. 😌 You can get EVERYTHING DONE at one facility. I LIKE THAT A LOT !! It makes everything so much easier and less stressful.
I'd highly recommend Excelsior Orthopaedics to anybody having mobility issues due to an injury or skeletal problems.
And Dr. Callahan Rocks !! 🤘🤩✌ He's a REALLY NICE GUY and a EXTREMELY TALENTED SURGEON. 😌
Additionally, both Morgan and Molly are exceptional (occupational/physical therapists)! They've both helped me out A LOT !! With Molly expertly designing a splint to keep my joint protected after surgery. And later, Morgan telling me EXACTLY what exercises I should do at home to speed up my recovery time. She was also very encouraging and instilled a keep up the good work attitude.
AGAIN... I CAN'T SAY ANYTHING BUT POSITIVE THINGS ABOUT "(EXCELSIOR ORTHOPAEDICS)"
AWESOME...
Read moreTreated like a drug addict. I just found out (not from them rather my primary who reviewed my MRI I had done yesterday) that I have a torn labrum in my shoulder. I also feel the need to add that I had to PUSH THEM to even get an MRI in the first place, and that the PA there, Joseph Krajewski, told me twice in messages on their portal that he felt an MRI wasn't necessary. I told him that I wasn't sleeping, that my pain level was a 9, and that I had no appetite. I was forcing myself to eat, as I have been in excruciating pain since I fell on ice 2 weeks ago.
I shouldn't have to send multiple messages daily via the patient portal to get someone's attention there. I also should not have to stand my ground and battle a PA there to get them to figure out what was wrong with my shoulder, when I know my body.
Maybe if they listened to their patients once in a while, rather than dismissing them like the revolving door that is that place, then human beings would receive better treatment.
I wouldn't recommend this place to someone if they had a stubbed toe, let alone a serious physical injury. Save yourself the time, energy, and mistreatment and...
