A&J Poke — Restaurant in Town of Amherst

It’s not totally authentic, but it is the closest we’ve tried by far for poke options in Buffalo! My boyfriend and I recently moved here after living 2 years in Honolulu. So finding a tasty poke place thats local is something we’re thankful for.

The staff is also incredibly nice and allows you to customize your order however you want. Think chipotle-style create your own bowl.

There are a lot of options, ranging from typical poke (ahi/salmon, shoyu/spicy mayo, furikake, onions/avocado) to the somewhat insane but fun options (cooked meats, corn/edamame, cheetos!?!).

But again, you pick everything yourself so you get to go as crazy as you want!

New place that just opened upn and going to be a new favorite of mine. As a poke restaurant the protein selection is all fish based and super fresh tasting. The burrito(dynamite trio) was nice sized and perfectly packed. I also got a Hawaiian roll which at first i was confused on the textue until I realized there was pineapple chunks (first time having pineapple on sushi and i reccomend this roll) I used grubhub to order since i had a gift card to use (much cheaper to order direct) food was estimated to be done in 25 minutes and it was right on time. What an absolute hidden gem! I wish I could stumble upon this shop everywhere, and every time I need a fast healthy bite to eat. The family that runs this establishment is friendly and cares about delivering an amazing fresh product with a smile. The tuna and salmon are so fresh, veggies crisp and flavor filled, rice choices not only cooked to perfection but having three of them is as it should be .
