I am writing this review to share my gratitude for the joy that my experience in redecorating my family room space has brought to me. The result is so much more than I ever expected-but the process is what I most appreciate. I have known your sales associate, Kathleen Beckett, for a number of years before she came to work at Ethan Allen. Back then, she helped me design my living room, dining room, two bedrooms and a garden. When she joined the Ethan Allen staff I thought I would not be able to use her expertise any longer because Ethan Allen would be out of my price range. Kathleen quickly showed me how I, too, could have E.A. quality and her amazing design advice to make this space something special. How right she was! Kathleen is a delight to work with. She is attuned to her clients' wishes, concern, tastes and budgets. She brings a genuine enthusiasm and joy to her work. Indeed, her excitement for a special piece or a certain look often outshines my own-and that is infectious! Her warm personality brings a comfort to a process that for me would ordinarily be an ordeal. When I have questions or concerns, she listens closely and gently solves each issue. When I have doubts she is there to reassure me. When I am overwhelmed, she is organized and talented with an impeccable eye to style, color and function. I wouldn't have wanted to attempt this project with anyone else. Kathleen brought laughter and delight into the entire process-going far beyond her job description. When you’ve lived in a 100 year old house in the city for over 30 years, and your décor is old and feels boring, what are your next steps? What if you want to stay in your house because you’ve raised your family there and you don’t want to leave your cherished memories? You re-decorate! This is one of the last ways in which we like to spend our limited free time. So, we decided to work with a professional—Kathleen Beckett at Ethan Allen. Good decision!

Kathleen listened to understand our vision and our budget. She has an excellent eye for interior deign and asked permission to recommend ideas “outside the box.” Energetic and committed to meeting our needs, Kathleen would work as fast as we needed and slowed the pace when our work and travel schedules delayed decision making. Always on time, Kathleen confirmed every appointment the day before, and promptly responded to all text questions and messages.

The Ethan Allen installation teams are total professionals as well. Before the interior design was finalized, they conducted an on-site assessment to note the elevation access from the street, and they measured staircase spaces for tight turns needed to carry large furniture pieces to upper floors of the house. On installation days, they were on time, removed their shoes while walking in our house, cleaned up after installation, and removed debris.

I would also like to thank Chris who I’ve worked with directly . She assisted me in finding an order from years ago, so that I could order additional furniture as a match. The entirety of my experience was beyond positive. Chris kept me cognizant of when my order would be delivered. She then made me aware of optional dates of delivery and follow up calls. What an extraordinary asset to Ethan Allen!!!

Some people may read this review and think Ethan Allen it’s too expensive! However, I will continue to be an Ethan Allen consumer. You may pay a wee bit more, but to have a positive experience from beginning to end is rare! Thank you...
