Five Below — Local services in Town of Amsterdam

My friends and I used to love shopping here and they have some really good stuff for under $5 (I won't buy anything more expensive at a store called FiveBelow.)

Unfortunantely, the "self checkout" has become an uncomfortable "assisted" checkout, which takes twice as long and makes you feel like you're a suspected criminal just for shopping. You spend more time waiting in line for the one cashier than actually shopping most of the time.

Staff also hit "9 stars" on the checkout screen, rather than letting the customers do it. Seems fraudulent to be giving themselves the highest rating and blocking customers from doing it.

Cheap made in China junk. Bought my daughter a care bear remote control car. The remote didnt work and the car moved backwards on its own. Returned it and she picked out a hamster in a ball that moved. The battery compartment was beneath the motor and the wires were broken off. Basically everything that involves needing a battery dont waste your money. This has happened several times. You get what you pay for. $5 and below is junk.
