Walgreens — Local services in Town of Amsterdam

The pharmacy is terrible. I've had an issue every single time I come to this pharmacy since I switched, and I only switched because Rite Aid closed and cvs does not work with my insurance. For instance, my medicine said it was ready to be picked up yesterday. I just came to pick it up before I get my daughter from school and they're telling me it's not ready, I have to wait an hour. I said that doesn't make any sense because online it said it was ready to be picked up yesterday? And it still says that so I just wasted my time money and gas. On coming up here for no reason. Because I cannot wait an hour. I have to get my kid from school. Nor should I have to wait an hour when it was said it was ready to be picked up yesterday and like I said, I've had a problem every single time I've came to this pharmacy since I switched in June and it's October....

We're at our summer residence near Amsterdam. We live in Florida and weren't able to return because of Irma. I was running low on my b/p med and needed a refill only to find out there's currently a shortage of that particular pill which meant no refill. I was terrified and showed it because of that and the hurricane stress! The pharmacist that day (September 10) was a fellow named Joseph R. (can't remember last name) and he spent almost an hour making phone calls, trying to locate nearby stores that might be able to fill my script. After jumping through hoops to help me, he was successful. I got my pills at Price Chopper. I just wanted to say thank you to him and make sure his boss knows what a gem he is. Walgreens has been my pharmacy for many, many years. The Amsterdam facility meets all of my needs and I am always greeted cheerfully upon entering. The pharmacy team works hard to meet a high demand of scripts. I remember when they took on all of the Rite Aid clients. I have gotten all of my vaccines there. Professional and friendly. I want to express my gratitude to all essential workers in the medical field. They gave their all during the Covid-19 Pandemic years and still are.
