I was a member of Gaglione Strength between 8/2013 - 8/2014...John Gaglione hosted a “benefit” for me after a serious car accident5/1/14 that left me with numerous broken bones and bad injuries, as I headed down the road of recovery I looked forward to this benefit BUT then JOHN GAGLIONE Stole all the Donated benefit money that was raised and when my family asked for the money he threw me out of the gym. This was a “benefit” where other members baked stuff and made things and my entire family came and bought over $700 worth of stuff. There was a go fund me page as well and I did get that check...John was planning to have his two year anniversary and then switched it to a benefit for me since I was badly injured. At the event there were shirts for sale, bottled water and bjs pre cut sandwiches...everything else was donated by members...John Gaglione still owes me $700 and when My family asked for the rest of the “shirts” that were made so they could sell them they were told no and I was kicked out of the gym. I joined the gym from a recommendation from a friend since I wanted to powerlift. At first it seemed like the best place and well I had a coach so that was great right? We would train in sessions, listen to loud music and majority of the lifters supported each other..this is where I met my best friend Jackie...She was an intern for Gaglione Strength during the same time. We developed a friendship and also realized how many things were just “WRONG” I got free “gifts” as in knee sleeves/wrist wraps and such just because, I also got texted from the coach on numerous occasions to just have “small talk”...Different females got all types of free stuff mostly in hopes that they would go out with John. He was not scared to tell his intern how much he liked her and then bought her a brand new IPHONE...when she said she was uncomfortable with the gesture of the gift he treated her like she had led him on and continued to express his feelings for her. There were numerous occasions John inappropriately touched myself and other females wether it be during a squat and he was “spotting” well you dont need to put your hands on the girls hips to spot her...at first I thought I was crazy and it was just me till I witnessed it among other female lifters and they started expressing concern then another female was kicked out of the gym. JOHN GAGLIONE you are a pathetic excuse for a coach and a terrible human being for what you did. I should have made a police report and sued you but instead I sat like a coward until I regained my strength and was able to tell you what a true piece of garbage you are to steal from a damaged broken girl in a wheel chair. I will never forget how you made every female feel in that gym as in just hearing your name gives me the creeps. John if your reading this you can re pay what you stole and I will remove this review....Women think 5 times before you join this gym...UNLESS you want to be touched inappropriately....I would advise to keep your children FAR away from him. I would not recommend anyone joining this gym or using...
Read moreIn 2016 I had bariatric surgery. As i lost all my weight, i also lost muscle tone and mass. I worked out on my own for a while and built up a foundation. I was looking to do more but was concerned about injuring myself and didn't have the confidence to lift heavier than i was. Then I found Coach John and Gaglione Strength.
In a few short months I was lifting more than I ever thought possible. My confidence grew and so did my strength. My body fat continued to drop and my muscle mass grew. Coach John watched everything in that gym and provides guidance during each session. Form, weight, mechanics, it is all watched.
But John is not the only reason to join the G-Team. Its the team. Every possible type of lifter is at this gym. Young, old, man, woman, big, small, everyone is welcomed and encouraged. Everyone helps each other and only wants to see each of us improve and be the best versions of ourselves.
The G-Team is truly a family and I am privileged to be a part of it. I encourage everyone who wants to lift heavy, lift smart, or just be a better version of them self, to come down...
Read moreThis is a terrible place to go to if you want to improve your big three lifts and your health. You are following a four month or more cookie cutter program that might give you 5 or 10 pounds on your powerlifting total if you are not a beginner powerlifter. You are better off doing 5x5, 5/3/1, or candito 6 week powerlifting program. About John Gaglione, he doesn't communicate well with the athletes. He won't work with the athletes that are in his gym or talk to you like a man. He would rather go to an intern to let you know he doesn't want you to do a certain exercise on a bodybuilding day (T-bar row) and then walk away without having the intern give you a reason why... How is anybody expected to learn this way? John is flakey and cheap. You pay thousands of dollars for no air conditioning which is dangerous for your health, little equipment, and no big improvements on your lifts. Please save your money and go to a different...
