Everytime I think of this place I instantly have a headache. The first visit was to get my husband a suit for our wedding. We walked in, told someone the color we were looking for but were really just visiting to see what style he liked. They handed him a suit that wasn't even the right color and as my husband tried it on, they instantly started filling out paperwork for purchase. After I stated we weren't purchasing today, the sales person said to take the suit off. The manager at the time stepped in and worked up a price for a custom suit and everything was great.... until he quit.
From then on out it was a nightmare to work with this place. No one could ever find our paperwork. My father and brother had to go in multiple times to be measured because paperwork was lost. Three groomsmen who live out of state stopped in while they were in town and those measurements were all written under the wrong name. Suits were ordered without shirts, and when I went to pick up the shirt 4 days before the wedding (after receiving a call from the manager Ulysses that it was ready) I was told it wasn't in and had to be ordered. I asked for Ulysses who gave me the shirt that was waiting to be picked up, as well as another groomsmens suit that Karako never called anyone to say that it was ready....for a month.
Three of the groomsmen would not be in town until the day before the wedding and I was assured that alterations could be done the day before with no issue. I was told the tailor would be scheduled all day and suits could be picked up the next day. When one groomsman arrived to do so, he was told he needs to go somewhere else to get it done because they are too busy.
I'm so happy my wedding is over so I never have to look at this train wreck of an...
Read moreWe got married in September. It ended up being around the same price to buy a suit from Karako than renting a suit from a different store (if not cheaper depending on where you rented from). My groomsmen got the suit, dress shirt, tie, belt, and socks that they get to own for the same price as renting elsewhere. Since our wedding, some of our groomsmen have already worn their suits for other occasions. All of our groomsmen loved that they got to keep the suit and kept thanking us for doing this. Their prices are super reasonable and it is cheaper the more suits you buy. My dad, my husband’s dad, and my uncle were even able to buy a suit at a discounted price since they were part of our wedding.
Ulises was the best! Some of the other people that worked there caused some miscommunication. My husband was able to call and even text him and he was amazing and so helpful. Ulises was super accommodating and helped us order suits for groomsmen that were out of town. We gave him their measurements and he had suits ready in that size, plus a smaller and larger size for when they came in.My husband really wanted a maroon suit and Ulisises went above and beyond to find the perfect color for him. He works at the...
Read morePurchased from the Farmingdale location twice this year once for teens tuxedo and the second for teens suit. Both visits were for last minute purchases therefore didn’t have time for the price Negotiations. As other commenters have stated the prices are steep and the employees do offer the highest priced suits First! This worked me because as stated my time was limited therefore just made the purchase without question and both purchases were over $600! If you’re looking to pay a reasonable price make sure there is time to negotiate and look through the large suit selection. While the prices were not reasonable, I can say that the staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. Kenny and Ulysses were great and used their style expertise to help make the perfect selection with the tuxedo and and suit . The tie and shirt suggestion along with the color coordination for his Senior photo worked out perfectly and his pictures are flawless! Also the seamstress ( female ) is very friendly and talented; her alterations were perfection! Overall satisfactory experience and will visit...
