Update as of November 4, 2025. The matter still has not been resolved. Communication is terrible and cabinets are starting to show that the quality was never good. Peeling, sticky and cracking. Why are these so sticky….. We bought bathroom vanities as well and we’re starting to see problems with that as well. I don’t mind problems, but when there’s no communication or solutions, when you back the product that you paid premium money for… I remember my wife saying, but they are the best. I’d decided to go into the showroom and compare ours to theirs… I guess we got screwed … RED FLAG on trust and service. I know 2700+ people read this and saw this, I never leave bad reviews, but we’re actually just really upset about everything at this point. We’re normal people and easy to please… $35,000 dollars …. I’ll post photos
$35,000 Investment-NEW kitchen Failed.
As a real estate agent, I see kitchens every day—so when my wife and I finally invested $34,000 into what we hoped would be our dream kitchen, we expected high-quality work. Sadly, the experience has been frustrating and disappointing.
The service was just okay, but the product itself fell short. Several cabinets arrived chipped, rough, and sticky to the touch. One corner cabinet was measured incorrectly and is now completely unusable - HUGE- wasted space in a brand-new kitchen. Another pull-out drawer was installed so close to the stove that it’s barely functional. These are not minor issues; they show a serious lack of attention to detail. Design 101 we thought.
What bothers me most is that this could have been avoided. I walk into homes every day and see better material and craftsmanship at lower price points. I’m not trying to hurt anyone’s business—but we saved for years, and I expected more for the money. This stings …. The resolution has taken 1yr+….
This review is simply to let others know: think twice before committing. Our kitchen should’ve been a highlight of our home. Instead, it’s a reminder of how disappointed we are. I think we’ve been very reasonable…. Now we have to settle on this mistake. ...
Read moreTerrible experience here. Would avoid if you are looking for decent customer service for a very expensive investment. Had multiple issues with my cabinet designer beyond the turnaround from first visit to actual order of cabinets being 6 weeks because he was on vacation or too busy. Then plus 13 weeks for delivery but thats assumed with the pandemic. My cabinet design appt felt very rushed considering I was spending $30K+ on cabinets then once I gave him my credit card and committed he was very unresponsive. During the meeting he kept mentioning there would be a price increase in the next few weeks. I committed to Lakeville that week and basically said lets get the order in before the price increase and we didn't and when I would ask about it over email multiple times the question was ignored. Dont mention a price increase to a customer ready to get going and you be the hold up. My order was incorrect because my designer didn't input the specs of my sink that I provided him correctly so instead of him changing it he told me to buy a bigger sink and didnt apologize but said that never happens. We created an island that was 6 inches too long for a normal slab and requires a jumbo slab which costs more money and takes longer to receive. He has been in the business 20 years so I would of hoped that when designing the kitchen that would of been brought to my attention but it wasnt and when I called back after I visited the stone yard he told me to just buy a jumbo slab like everyone else.
Will say the floor sales guy was lovely and very helpful but 95% of my service should come from a kitchen designer when creating a custom kitchen and it...
Read moreDear Mary Jane,
I can’t thank you enough for the amazing job you did in designing my kitchen! I know you spent many hours working with me in trying to maximize the space in my small kitchen and in making it my dream kitchen! You accomplished that and then some! I really have you to thank for even embarking on this project as you were the one who offered to do a rendering for me of my “new kitchen.” Your drawing was so impressive that it gave me the inspiration to proceed with the project. I am so pleased with all the choices we made together from the color and quality of the cabinets to the wall color and the floor tile, etc.
Thank you also for referring me to the general contractor, George Manikas of G&M Construction Corp. They will be working a while longer at my house in doing the many finishing touches left to do on the kitchen, but I am so pleased with the workmanship. His workmen are not only skilled craftsmen, but have a strong work ethic and couldn’t be nicer. They are perfectionists like me; so we are getting along just fine!
George also discovered I needed a new roof. While this came as quite a surprise and was a bit more than I expected to do, he purchased all the materials from Riverhead Building Supply in Southampton. They had everything on hand which made the job go very quickly.
Thanks again for your patience and expertise in planning my forever kitchen! I could not be more pleased with the way it is turning...
