This place needs improvements in many areas. First and foremost, their customer service. Not a single person at the front desk greets customers or makes eye contact with them on their way in. You can catch them with their eyes glued to their laptop or phone behind the front desk, especially the female employee. Seems like she’s working on another job. Next, they forget to turn the sauna on in the morning and then you can’t use it because who is going to wait for it to heat up. The yoga room in the back is completely cluttered with mats falling apart. I have never seen them hold a workout class once. They don’t have water dispensers. I heard a customer ask a gentlemen at the front desk where he could refill his bottle and the employee seriously responded with “in the bathroom”. Next they definitely do not clean their equipment regularly or at all being that the treadmills on one side were filthy and covered in dust. The other equipment is quite literally falling apart where they have seats and benches duct taped and lots of other equipment broken and rusty. This gym has been around for way too long for the owners to not invest in keeping the gym in better condition and hold the staff at higher standards. Honestly, if you are someone that has low standards for a gym, doesn’t really care for good quality equipment, or basic gym amenities then yeah this may be the gym for you. However, for $50 a month anyone could do...
Read moreStaff and members are friendly, and there is plenty of equipment to avail yourself of, and the hours are expansive. Classes are all included with membership, but that brings up a different issue, based upon what I've heard through the grapevine:
Day passes just went from $5 to $10. Apparently, many of the people attending aerobics-style classes came in on day passes. So with the price increase, attendance has plummeted. There is also a policy that instructors are not allowed to conduct classes with fewer than three attendees, so you are never sure that there is going to be a class until you see who else shows up. Also, the Monday Zumba and Sunday Kerboomka classes were were permanently cancelled (and the latter was EXTREMELY well attended). No substitute classes have been rescheduled, and it's been months.
It's still a good gym, and I'm going to renew my membership...but not for more than 3 months at a time. I just don't know what will be there for me in terms of classes...
Read moreI would strongly advise against ever setting foot in this gym. It is an absolute disaster from top to bottom. The equipment is in shambles, half of it broken and unusable. The entire place looks like it has never seen a thorough cleaning. The atmosphere is toxic, with juice heads pushing their products in the bathroom like some shady back alley deal.
But the worst part? The staff's blatant racism towards Latinos. They are vocal about their bigotry and make it abundantly clear that certain customers are not welcome. This kind of discrimination has no place in any establishment, let alone a supposed place of fitness and health.
Save yourself the headache and steer clear of this dump. There are plenty of other gyms out there that offer a welcoming and clean environment. This one is a cesspool of broken equipment, shady sales tactics, and toxic attitudes. Do yourself a favor and find a gym that actually cares about its members. This one is not worth your...
