Beware of buttermilk and their owners. I ordered chicken and waffle and MAPLE DRIZZLE which is the safest dish on the menu. I started to eat my chicken and waffles I became queasy. Wasn't sure what was making feel this way. Asked waitress was the chicken dipped in an egg batter she said no. Stopped eating and maybe it was because it's my 1st meal of the day. Nope found out the MAPLE DRIZZLE as it says on the menu is made with MAYO/RAW EGG. I would have never agreed to such mayo maple on anything. 😝 After questioning the waitress about my order and what the menu says I asked for a manager to explain I did not enjoy food and it made me sick and nausea. The manager says after I explained to her, we cannot list all the ingredients that's in the food. I said but you can tell your customers per your menu if MAYO/RAW EGG is in MAPLE DRIZZLE. To make this shorter than the discussion with Manager and then Owner (Head Chef Alicia) who both were extremely dismissive and continued to tell me to tell waitress next time my allergies. It clearly says MAPLE DRIZZLE where does MAYO/RAW EGG fit in there. The Head Chef continue to tell me that she disagrees. Scratching my head on what she is disagreeing with. Menu and what is says verses what it doesn't. After going back in forth she asked what she wants me to do? Whaaat? My question to her what can you do to satisfy your customers. The manager offered a cup of coffee and owner finally offered the same chicken and waffles with REGULAR MAPLE SYRUP o.k. now we are getting somewhere. I took the offer but declined to have it made at the moment. Felt queasy to the thought of someone tampering with the new meal. Customer service sucks and if BUTTERMILK continues dismissing their dissatisfied customers BUTTERMILK WILL BE REVIEWED...
Read moreI have been here a couple of times before and always had a good experience so we came out to buttermilks kitchen for my birthday breakfast with the family. Absolutely the worst service I have experienced in years. We were First brought to a table then told im sorry its gonna be a 15 minute wait so we decided to go for a walk. They took my phone # 7 minutes later i got a call our table was ready. We come in and get sat. Drinks and order taken right away. We the. Sat for the better part of an hour with our 2 year old with nothing to color, snack on, anything and no word from anyone our server finally came and saif your food will be out shortly. 20 minutes later as were ready to just leave it finally arrives with my pancakes not cooked. I ask for the manager. As we are waiting for the manager it becomes painfully obvious to me, as im a restaurant manager myself, that my wife and daughters food had been sitting in the window for what i would guess was at least 20 minutes while my order was either lost or forgotten and they just rushed my order. The manager then comes out of the kitchen saying new cakes are working for me i said no thanks just take them off the check. Explained the whole situation. That it was my birthday. She said are you sure you dont want the cakes? I can just make them plain. Then was irritated that I just didnt want them. All they did was remove my pancakes that were uncooked from the check. I understand were all short staffed and wait times are to be expected and mistakes happen.. But there was no communication with my table and when the mark is missed that badly i would expect better treatment from the manager. Im not asking for anything but that is just awful customer service. We Will...
Read moreStrictly speaking about my recent visit as previous visits and different meals are usually much tastier; however, this most recent visit I had ordered the corned beef hash dish with eggs sunny side up.
The eggs and the biscuits were fine, eggs obviously nothing crazy and biscuit being tasty. The corned beef hash itself was horrid though. It was just a mound of greasy meat with a strand or two of potato. The side i had gotten was the sausages, which for the meat plate i had gotten, did not help. They were fine, usually better previous times somehow taste wise but the oiliness of the sausage and the corned beef hash was just too much. I was able to only eat half before calling it quits.
I usually don't write about my food outings but here I am hours later, peeved at the quality of the food and actually worse off for having gone there rather than any other breakfast place due to price and honestly, painful stomach ache I've had since going.
It'll be a while till I am lulled back into going back, the service was as usual good. The crowd was busy for a brunch hour but honestly not too bad. The food was just the thing that got me this time and man did it disappoint me. Here's hoping I only got a stomach ache...
Edit: upon re-reading the menu to make sure it wasn't my fault for expecting something different. The dish is called "not that kinda hash" and man, I'm not in the wrong. Not that kinda hash? What kind? An actual good kind that has potatos and isnt just a meatpile?...
