Inspite of being a client of Raymour & Flanigan furniture since 2016, my recent experience especially with that store (in Lake Grove) unfortunately is no good.Sales person seemed ok until completed his sale. This time we got a store sample, and we needed to pick up or pay to deliver. Two days later when we arrived the store, there was a line for register to pick up due to belated employee. By the way, that day they had an event which I had been invited several times at another location. As long as I know the purpose of those events is making people, and former clients visit the store to see new furnitures as a potantial client. With this way, they are giving a sembolic gift. They did not want go give us the gift by none sense reasons such as isuppose to purchase that day, and they change their lie such as suppose to be at least certain amount. It does not matter for us getting a couple cheap glasses, but it does matter how they treat us. Another issue about store is not having enough loading person. After waiting line, not treating right for a cheap gift, we had to help loading guy as two woman due to having only one very young guy. When my friend called the salesman, he was interested my friend's voice (he thought she was yelling at him) more than finding a solution. When we brought the furnitures home, we noticed that washable some cushions had no second cover. According to salesman, their products are higher quality than their outlet stores. Even outlet product had better two cover to make it easy wash. You cannot distinguish which cover is top one, so both of them were high quality. In short, material cheaper than outlet product and missing material, liar, and fake sincere salesman, bad organization, not having enough loading, and register employee, and mistreading clients for a cheap little gift. By the way, once whe. we were invted another location, they even give our friend that gift make this store TERRIBLE . Who wants to spend money to deal with all those negativites. In my opinion, nobody deserve any of those. Like I mentioned even their outlet stores are better than this store. I wish I puchase them from my favorite store iwhich s located PATCHOGUE. I highly discourage anyone person from buying from this company.
We bought a dresser for a our nursery. The dresser was picked up at the store.
When you pick up at the store, there is no “back-room”. You drive behind a HUGE commercial building to park at a loading dock for commercial trucks. The piece came Stapled to a pallet w/ a cardboard box over it.
After we brought it home, removed from a wooden pallet that it was physically damaged. Half the drawers could not be used, the side wall separated completely popped out.
Raymour & Flanigan is not a cheap priced furniture outlet. The quality we received did not meet any expectation of their name nor any of the reviews you see on their page.
After speaking with customer service immediately after bringing this home.
They expect you to lay this piece furniture down on asphalt, behind a warehouse, remove all packaging & inspect the furniture before you load it up. Not happening
The manager offered an exchange. Stating they would call the day before with 3 hour window. This did not happen. The delivery service came by calling as soon as they arrived with no one home.
Got on the phone with the delivery service “manager” who offered to deliver Saturday. Great.
They never gave a time nor arrived. We call back the store to find out they have to reschedule again as they do not deliver on the weekends?
A huge waste of my own time, I’ve had this dresser sitting in my kitchen for over a week.
I work as a contractor all over the island. Work hand & hand with many realty companies who furnish homes. I will be making strong recommendations.

Read moreI am giving this review 2 stars ONLY because the staff at the store in Lake Grove NY was so helpful and understanding. Otherwise, start to finish my experience was horrendous. I had ordered a couch from the store and within about 2 years time it started to wear. The "genuine leather" literally started to wear off. I was told I could have it repaired. The technician would "spray" the couch? I decided to return the couch for a refund. I was told that once I picked out the new furniture I would have PAY to have it delivered. Why would I pay again for delivery? I didn't want a new couch to begin with. Even though it was a return, I had to take a day off of work to have the technician come to see the damage. That day I was asked to send a photo of the damage to the tech. I had already sent many photos prior but did so again. After waiting for the technician I got a call that they looked at the photo and would not be coming to assess the couch. I lost a days pay! Finally I was told my refund was done and could pick out new furniture. What they didn't tell me was that I only had two weeks to do so. TWO WEEKS OR I LOSE THE REFUND ALTOGETHER! I didn't find this out until a week later when the store manager told me. They also didn't tell me that I needed to call ahead to make an appointment to order new furniture as it can only be done by a manager. So I wasted a trip to the store. With only a week to decide on new furniture I had to make a hasty decision and pray that I like the couches I ordered. I have ordered many pieces of furniture from this company but this will be the last and I will be recommending that others take their business elsewhere.
