We went on my daughter's birthday last month and were SO excited to go because we had just visited an Urban Air in Florida and it was FANtastic. I was hesitant to go to the Lake Grove location because it was winter break week so I knew it would be crowded. Crowded doesn't even begin to describe the scene. First we waited on 1/2 hour line to pay. I paid the top tier since it was her birthday and in Florida we didn't do the bumper cars or virtual reality. Huge mistake in Lake Grove--she got on the bumper cars twice, but the line for virtual reality never moved so we skipped it. I waited on several lines for her while she played on something close by (she loved the zip line, but it was an hour wait for me), but she couldn't do half of what we paid for because the lines were ridiculous--didn't get to do the ropes course or the climbing walls nor did she get to go in the course that's over the bubble pit. Maybe if we could go during an off time it would be better here, but it's still too new so it's going to be insane at this location for awhile.
Oh and the kicker...they put a time limit on your stay when they're at maximum capacity, which they tell you IMMEDIATELY AFTER YOU PAY. I swear the dude swiped my credit card and then said, "Oh here's this red bracelet for your daughter to get kicked out after 3 hours." Okay that's not how it was phrased, but it may as well have been. So isn't it great that they oversell the place for the day (instead of turning people away when they hit capacity) and then put a time limit on your stay basically ensuring you won't be able to do everything you just paid for?!?! I wasn't going to leave until they kicked us out, but I was in line for the ropes course when they announced red bands had to leave so I figured if I waited in the line and got up there 40 minutes later the people running it wouldn't let my daughter do the course and then I'd definitely junk punch someone so we left.
We won't be back until someone goes there that I know who can confirm they went during a non-peak time...
Read moreMy 9 year old had a birthday party here, attended a few parties for other kids and convinced us to take him a few times out of the blue. They did an ok job with the party but the fact of the matter is the employees are mostly apathetic teenagers. They're not authoritative and don't make it their business to be efficient and on top of everything - for the most part they're typical teens. And because of this, you tend to want to supplement the lack of mediocre supervision and keep an eye on things but it's near impossible when kids are running from one station to the next or disappearing in some tunnel, tube or maze. It's exhausting, but the kids love the place... As a parent, I hate the place because it's usually a maniacal zoo - especially on weekends and even more so on rainy/snowy weekends when multiple birthday parties are going on. My wife and I have a pact to either go together and commiserate or flip a coin to see who has to go...As you can tell, I lost a few flips. You know who else loves the place?...The typical Facebook-addicted, PTA soccer moms. They usually are accompanied by other similar, constantly phone-fingering selfie/Patch/Instagram moms. You know, the one's whose husbands are home watching the game and don't give them enough attention or the divorced moms who kept the house and Tahoe and collect a few thousand a month in child support and have overdone Botox lips. Yes, those are the one's who love the place. It's filled with them holding Starbucks cups and yaking away while their kids are running wild. You can tell who they are by their reviews here, name dropping employees "Tara at the ball pit was wonderful", "Nico at the concession stand was amazing", etc. Oh, shut-up. Typical phony moms. Imagine 2-4 hours of being immersed in this. Also...consider keeping your 15 year old buffoons home. They're too old to be diving around with 4 to 10 year-olds like idiots, but some moms are so desperate to meet-up with their Karen friends and get them out of the house...

I recently visited Urban Air Adventure Park with my five children ages 9,7,4,3 &1, and I am compelled to share my extremely disappointing experience. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that this facility was poorly managed and unhygienic.
First and foremost, the cleanliness of the park was appalling. Every hand sanitizer station was empty, which is unacceptable, especially in a place where children are playing and interacting closely. To make matters worse, we witnessed a child vomit in the ball pit obstacle course, and despite this hazardous situation, no staff members intervened or closed off the area. I was completely disgusted.
The park was overcrowded and chaotic, with a disorganized setup that made it difficult to navigate. There was a noticeable lack of staff supervision, which contributed to the unsafe environment. I was particularly alarmed to see larger children on climbing exhibits that clearly stated a height maximum. This resulted in a serious incident where a 13-year-old boy crushed my 3-year-old son’s ankle when he fell on top of him, causing him extreme pain and necessitating a trip to the emergency room. Resulting in a broken ankle! The absence of staff to monitor these activities is a major red flag, and it’s no wonder they make you sign a waiver of liability before playing.
To add to the disappointment, the food options were terrible. After a long day of chaos and concern for my children's safety, we were hoping for at least a decent meal, but what we received was far from satisfactory.
Overall, my experience at Urban Air Adventure Park was nothing short of a nightmare. I will never return with my children, and I strongly advise other parents to consider alternative options for their family outings. Safety and cleanliness should be a priority in any facility catering to children, and Urban Air has failed miserably...
