I have always shopped second-hand stores and this one is terrible. The prices are absolutely insane!!! They receive these items for free and sell them for more than if you bought new. A guitar was $450 that retails for $300. Habitat for humanity does not easily support people either. The intent is supposed to be to help people who cannot afford new and they are NOT doing that. Read moreI went the Restore in Canandaigua NY to donate a nice wooden table and a Mohogany head and foot board with wood rails. HA! I was told before I could it out of the bed of my truck that " OH we don't wood frames with metal. UMM WHAT? I am donating it. Well I took the stuff right over to the Good Will Store and they had NO problem accepting it. VERY snotty people at the Restore Canandaigua...I will NEVER take anything to those snobs again....Won't be long before they go out of business because of their attitude and very high prices. Read moreThey had a very big location with many different kinds of items for sale. It takes quite a while to peruse all the sections. The selection was impressive. Many items were outrageously overpriced, however, (particularly cheaply-made, ugly old furniture ) while others were surprisingly inexpensive. The place was rather disorganized and a couple of the people who appeared to be working there or helping out were not very friendly. Other staff were nice and professional.
