DO NOT SHOP AT JEWELRY BY GENO!!! PLEASE READ THIS STORY!!!!
A few days before Christmas my boyfriend brought in a plain bar necklace to get in engraved. Bought it was Kohl's, 14k white gold, originally $975, but got it on sale and with coupons for about $255. An amazing deal. He takes it to jewelry by geno to get it engraved. My boyfriend was told it would be done by christmas and would be done on a machine. When his brother picked it up (boyfriend was sick) his brother claimed it took them 20 minutes to find the necklace and came wrapped so we could not look at it. Flash forward to january 1st, I opened the box and saw the necklace with my boyfriends name engraved on the front and "i love you" on the back. The only problem, it looked like a 6 year olds hand writing. Definitely not done by a machine. We call and they say we can bring it in. When we bring it in, my boyfriend was told they would fix it. No problem. A month goes by and he finally gets a call to say it's ready. When he goes to pick it up, he was then told Pam (who i think is in charge of sales?) was not there and they would call him in an hour. When he got the call he was told that the necklace could not be fixed so they could give us a replacement or a refund. My boyfriend asked for a refund. Which he was told was no problem. A few days go by and he gets a very rude voicemail saying he needs to come in so they "can take this off their calendar." He is a very very busy person so he could not go right away. Well when he finally went in for the refund, he was told he could not get one. They first tried to claim he did not even pay for the engraving, but once they went in the system they found that he in fact DID! Geno then took him in the back and told him he could get one but only in a form of a gift card to jewelry by geno. My boyfriend did not want a gift card to this shop because he no longer trusts geno's work. Geno proceeded to get in his face and say nasty things to him and told him to leave his store. Proceeded to call the cops and my boyfriend left with them without a struggle. The police told us to take him to court, so that is what we will be doing.    Read moreI took my watch to them for a replacement battery. It was a water resistant to 300 meters watch that i got because I swim about 5 days a week. This is the second new battery but the first from them. They replaced the battery but when I swam that day the watch filled with water. After about a week of trying to dry the watch, they gave it back to me as "Fixed". It doesn't tell time and only shows incomplete lines.
