Margaritas Mexican Cantina — Restaurant in Town of Lancaster

This was our first time dining here and we had an excellent experience tonight at dinner.

The ambience and decor is colorful and lively, and definitely not tacky. The ceilings are high, the lighting matches the mood, the dining space is crowded when full, but still somehow feels spacious. The music is upbeat and happy and really adds to the experience and the staff feeds into the music too.

We were seated nicely and efficiently by the hostesses despite how busy it looked from the windows and parking lot… i’d like to offer credit to the bussers and other staff who did well at quickly clearing off empty tables to accommodate new guests walking in the door.

Our server, Kailah (I asked her the spelling to make sure i got it right… hope I did 🤞) showed up to our table almost instantly and was very helpful in guiding us through the menu. She was very knowledgeable about the details of the menu and perceptive about what we were in the mood for and accurately understood what we wanted and must’ve entered the order and all our modifications correctly into their system because it came out perfect (additional credit for this to the cooks, of course)!

The food was great and came out in no time at all. The drinks were amazing!!! If you’re looking for an authentic margarita with fresh squeezed limes and other quality ingredients, this is the place to go! The price on the menu might be a little daunting, but the drink is huge, no skimpy pours and worth every penny.

All the team members worked perfectly in sync with each other between our server, the hostesses, the food, runners, the bartenders, etc.. and all their attentiveness and hard work created a really well rounded dining experience.

KAILAH WAS AMAZING!!! She has such passion for what she does here and it pays off and truly makes the difference for the guests. Any other words I could add wouldn’t do her justice. I’m so glad I met her and had the pleasure of being her guest. Can’t wait...

Went later last night and we were seated right away. Got water and chips quick, took our drink order. Then it took about 15-20 minutes to bring us our drinks. Another 20 or so went by before we were asked if we were here for food or anything (it is a restaurant so obviously we were??). During this span our waiter visited other tables 4 or 5 times before we were even seen once. Hell, another table that came in after us was already fed and left before we could place an order. We asked for another round of chips and that did not happen till we were almost done with our food, by then the cheese dip was already cold and solidifying, so wasted our money on that.

Whatever, maybe it was a busy night and the crew was recovering. I get it. Half our table gets their food and the waiter was VERY QUICK to come over to see if we needed anything else. One person was still waiting for their drink (non alcoholic easy to grab and serve). Took another 5-10 mins for the other half of the food to come and the drink.

We asked what certain menu items contained and the waiter had no idea. Then proceeded to ask what we wanted in our tacos. As if we did not already ask what the options were.

For the priced they are charging, its abysmal the speed and quality of the food. Mine and a few others orders were not correct. My order did not even contain half of what was listed on the menu. I made a comment in a polite manner about this, and nothing was done. To add insult to injury, we did not even get a refill of waters. The ice melting in our drinks was faster than the service. The staff also had enough time to celebrate birthdays and pay attention to a larger group with the forced gratuity before even glancing at our table.

Overall, what a waste of time and money. Figured it would be a fun new restaurant, turns out it was the...

We were seated next to the kitchen...the back flow of the restaurant, even though we had reservations. We noticed numerous servers & helpers using bare hands to scoop the tortilla chips..absolutely disgusting! Cleaning tables, handling dirty plates/utensils, touching doors, etc..etc and then scooping chips with your bare hands..so unacceptable! I do give credit to the few servers that I seen using the scooper. Our waiter was great once we got served, waited 30 minutes to take order and get drinks.. I understand they are working out the kinks of just opening, so that was not that big of a deal. The food was very good, but got charged for sour cream that we did not get...our waiter could not take it off the bill and said it was his mistake and would have to take it out of his tip money, per manangement, due to his mistake. Thats ridiculous and would never charge a server for that innocent mistake, so we let that slide. Again...just can't get past the poor hygiene....that is a must In The restaurant industry and this protocol is very important to the public safety to prevent the spread of disease. Would of gave this place a rate between a 4 and 5 because the food was very good..but sorry, I'm giving this place a 1 and will never be back. BASIC 101 HYGEINE TRAINING NEEDS TO...
