As of today (12/8/2021), the yingswingsthings.com website allows you to download a PDF of their menu that includes a Large Cheese Pepperoni Pizza & 20 Wings for $19.99. The person who answered the phone was very polite and did inform me that there was a price change since they were under new management, including the removal of their old special ($2.99 for a foot long ham sub!). Was dismayed to see that the price for the pizza and wings doubled from $19.99 to $38.99. Sadder even to see the old party pizza with 50 wings more than doubled in cost from $39.99 to $98.99! Still, we decided to give the new management a shot anyway. Unfortunately, the food did not justify the increase in price. The Teriyaki wings were still delicious, but the box of wings smashed the pizza, leaving the toppings stuck to the lid of the box as seen in the photo. We got seasoned curly fries that were soggier than the old seasoned fries that used to be on the menu. The bread on the foot-long Royal Sub ($2 increase in price) seemed less crispy than I remembered. It may be some time before I take a gamble on Ying's again. Too bad, this used to be our go-to place when nobody in the family could agree on what to eat, because they had such a varied menu with good deals.
UPDATE 12/9/2021: I received an apologetic call from Ying's today explaining that the sturdier pizza boxes were on back order, hence the cheesy mess we received. I still would have preferred that the heavier box of wings was not transported on top of the flimsy pizza box, though. They offered to credit me for a pizza to try again in the future, so I am appreciative of that at least. Adjusting my rating up a star in consideration of the good customer service I received over the phone both yesterday and today. May adjust it again after I try Ying's...
Read more1st off i never write reviews ever, but feel obligated to share to ever persom around my age that woukd cringe when you heard yings mentioned over the last decade or so....at the end of my days as a drunk Batchelor with no children in my late teens abd early 20's, the only safe thing to eat at yings was pizza logs and crab Rangoons. The place that had good local rick bands regularly was turned into a make shift club that drew tons of riff raff and unsavory people from the city. Fights and police there constantly. Drinking one night almost two months ago very late at night was looking for food not from a gas station. Since covid you can't even get fast food late anymore. I had well prepared hot Pork Lo Mein General style chicken and crab rangoons delivered to my door at 2:00 a.m. and being a retired chef who was on a high dose of gummies. Was impressed. Making sure it wasn't the gummies I ordered again within a week during the day Stone Cold Sober. And it was delicious. I don't really go in there but whoever's in charge of running the kitchen deserves a raise. And delivering till 4:00 a.m. God bless you guys. Pint of sweet and sour chicken pork fried rice crab rangoons delivered to my door at 1:00 a.m. for $25 with a $7.00 + tip. Pork lo mein was just as good if not better than ive had at most "authentic" asian restaurants. Where else would you rather be then right here right...
Read moreMy wife and I ordered Chinese food here tonight. Since our old favorite place closed down. We figured why not try it. After there was a flyer in our door after both working 12 hour day. So we get our "Chinese" food after an hour waiting for the delivery. First bite into there so called "crab Rangoon" the hell it was! It was bare any filling and the filling come to find out was fish stock! Sweeter than a Tootsie roll! So we try the 3 different kinds of chicken dinners we ordered. First one General tsos, failure nasty gray so called chicken! Second dinner orange chicken, not one taste of orange or spice, absolute no taste but sweet whatever glaze they call it. Now to the third dinner. Sweet and sour chicken, rubbery cold who knows what the he that was. On top of it we added pork fried rice for the dinners. Guess again wrong! White rice! 3 soy sauce packets, no egg rolls! Also the sweet red sauce they give you usually to dip in was literally red water! The kicker we call back they argued with us about a refund. Cut this short were driving it back tomorrow! Un eaten as given to use upon delivery! P.S I only had to give them this 1 star for Google to let me post this. There not worthy of the mud on...
