After season after season of running my pool heater in early Spring to late Fall, I realized that heating a Hot Tub with 500 gallons of water would make more sense than heating more than 10,000 gallons. Don’t get me wrong, the pool is staying. It just won’t have the heat on all of time.
I started looking around at different hot tubs from different stores and suppliers. Some were super cheap and some were a bit more. I had no idea how to tell them apart. I stopped at a couple places and were either given bad answers or “I don’t know”.
A respected friend that had purchased his hot tub from Pool Mart at the beginning of COVID (to make staying home more bearable for his large family) highly recommended them. After my second visit to a different store and not getting really good answers to my questions I decided to drive a little further to Pool Mart. I was gently approached by Brandon Chase and I gave him the standard “Just looking”. I soon realized that I didn’t really know what I was looking at and I didn’t know exactly what I needed for my lifestyle and family. It’s like buying a pair of shoes. You have to get what fits.
So I started talking to Brandon. He wasn’t salesy. It seemed as though his motivation was to educate the world on the qualities of “Hot Spring” hot tubs. I know that he is a salesman so of course he wants to sell hot tubs but I didn’t get the urge to run out the door and not return.
He took considerable time to explain the features and drawbacks of everything that they sold. He also took the time to figure out what would be the best fit for my family. Admittedly, there was a little sticker shock because most hot tubs that I see advertised have a low ball price and the ones that I was now looking at were a little more than I expected. After Brandon had educated me I decided on a Hot Tub that was not the lowest price and also not the highest. It wasn’t the smallest and it wasn’t the largest. It actually turned out to be just the right fit.
After the sale was made Brandon explained that our relationship was not over and that he was there for me if I needed something. I didn’t think that I would ever need anything, but it turned out that I did have a few questions on a few occasions and whoever would answer the phone at Pool Mart was more than helpful. Brandon also had checked in with me a couple times via phone and email.
When it came to the delivery, it was like they were moving a piano. A large crew came and took care of everything and moved the Hot Tub to my exact desired location. They set up the salt system and did some other necessary steps. They gave me a brief “in service” lesson and picked up every speck of packing material and took it with them.
I was up and running in a couple hours.
My only criticism with “Hot Springs” is that the electrical connection and drain come out of the front. I left the drain where it is because I don’t use it much. I relocated the electrical line to another side to keep it out of the way. No matter what reason Hot Springs may be give for having it come out the front it won’t be a good one. So change it Hot Springs. Maybe place a length of empty PVC pipe underneath so that the installer (which was me) doesn’t have to fish the electrical line.
Maintenance has been pretty easy. I use the test strips and will also get a water sample tested every once in a while for accuracy.
My delivery was in early November. There almost has not been a day that goes by that we don’t go in the hot tub. I have had morning coffee in it and of course evening drinks. We have music via Boise and Alexa and a TV on a wheeled cart for watching football.
So far it has been a very enjoyable...
Read moreI was looking for a hot tub, and Pool Mart was recommended by someone that I trust. When making any major purchase, I like to ask a lot of questions and take my time to think through exactly what I want to do. During my first visit to the showroom, the staff took plenty of time with me to answer every question I could think of, showed me every model I wanted to see, left me alone when I wanted to be alone, and was right there when I needed them again. After I chose the tub I wanted to purchase, they made the process easy and then it was just a matter of waiting for delivery, which happened during the timeframe they promised.
Having owned an in-ground spa in the past I was familiar with the basics, but a self-contained hot tub is slightly different. The technicians were available to answer my questions and visited my home more than once to walk me through proper usage and answer questions. I will also note that there have been a couple of occasions that I had questions I wanted to ask the manufacturer (Hot Springs) and their customer service was also prompt, friendly, and helpful. I realize that's a different company but it shows that Pool Mart is working with a dependable manufacturer.
I've only had the tub a few months and so time will tell about durability of both the tub itself, and the customer service level in the long run. But my experience was very good and I think I will be able to...
Read moreUpon Our visit to Pool Mart in Depew, NY , We were greeted and assisted by Jay Mowery. We were debating between a swim spa or a hot tub we had so many questions and Jay took the time to answer all of them. We decided to not make any decisions at that time as we had to see what option would fit best for us. After taking measurements in our yard we decided that a hot tub would best suit our space. We also looked at our companies and were not happy with their staff or the selections they offered and they all tried to push us into selections we did not like. We both decided that Pool Mart was the company that we want to do business with through Jay Mowery he was very knowledgeable and never once tried to push us on any one hot tub we decided that the Hot Springs Limelight Pulse would be best for us. We have received our hot tub and once filled and electric set up Jay said to call him so he could walk us through setting it up With salt and chemicals it went more smoothly than we expected and were in enjoying our hot tub that evening!! Jay also called to check to see how things were a couple days after. I can’t say enough about Jay and the staff at Pool Mart from the minute we entered the store, delivery and help afterwards if you are looking for a wonderful experience and a great hot tub I highly recommend that you make your purchase of a Hot Springs tub through Pool Mart and...
