The best deli and meat market in all of central New York, there is none better. They make the best sandwiches for a great price, They sell "ALL Boar's Head products". They have great produce. Their meat market is absolutely awesome. They have about 9 + Hot trays going. Some of the hot dishes that I can recommend are the meatball sub which is a great value and price, The Utica Greens, The mac and cheese, the breakfast pizza and anything with chicken in it. For anyone that's not aware, the deli side works on a number system in which you go up to the counter and press a button and get a number and they will call your number and it will also be displayed on the screen in the corner of the deli. It's a must-go. Everybody loves it and it is known far and wide for a great reputation. If you haven't been, do yourself a favor and go there. You won't be disappointed. I forgot to mention it's also a really nice grocery store and they have a lot of fresh salads and other things already made up for you. Next time I will take some pictures and post them for you guys. So now that I no longer work at speras and am no longer a customer, Ive seen way to many things wrong and will not continue buy hot food from them, The owner has a very big problem in the kitchen he has to fix quickly, the fact that countless times his blonde lady cook knows that she overcooked Mac n cheese and fish and many other dishes and she still brings it out for sale is insulting I lost count of the times I looked in the hot box and saw burned overcooked pizza brought out for sale and the Mac n cheese she makes can be used for paste to cover holes in a wall of how overcooked it is, I've seen even the kitchen manager bring out burnt pizza cause she didn't hear the timer alarm for it cause she was to busy on her phone, don't get me wrong it is a great store but things need to be set straight having customers pay for overcooked food at the price they are charged at least make sure it's cooked right it's a rinse and repeat for 6 months straight I saw it I refused to sell a customer food when it was overcooked and they thank me for it, but hopefully people are set straight customers deserve food cooked...

I don't love that they've gone to a pre packed salad model. I'm sure it cuts down on waste. I'm sure it cuts down on man hours. Waste reduction is good. Labor cuts are bad. Couple that with not passing along any of those savings to the consumer, and it is a detriment to all. Want to be supported as a local business? You do have to return the favor. If you want to blame the economy, you had better be willing to be outspoken about those who made it what it is. If you want to support the corruption in our current government, the choice I'm left to make is to support the lesser of all available evils.
