If it was possible to give this business a lower rating, it would be FAR into the negative numbers!!! Unfortunately I had to give it 1 star in order for my demoralizing encounter to be posted.
I experienced horrible customer service with the snootiest attitudes today at the OUTDOOR Spoth’s Farm Market. While shopping for annual plants, two young female cashiers seemed to be giving me dirty looks behind their masks. No other customers were around, and I was outside. When I went to check out, which is at the front of the open-aired building, the one young cashier asked if I had a mask. I reluctantly said, “Yes, in my bag.” While I was getting it out, she made it a point to make me wait while she checked out another customer, who approached the other side of the checkout counter after me. I asked if I was in the right place to check out since I was there first. Then a tall man yelled from the back of the open-aired market that I could stay where I was and that I could only get checked out if I wore a mask. I put it on my mouth in an effort to appease the militant workers. Then the young cashier walked to my side, and while glaring at me, commanded, “Make sure it’s over your nose too!” To add injury to insult, she gave me a tutorial with her mask on how it’s done! She pinched her mask and jiggled it over her nose. I tried to explain to the tall Gestapo-looking fellow, who had interrupted his cell phone conversation to walk up and make sure that I was complying, that I had a medical exemption from mask-wearing, but that I was just trying to put it on to appease everyone. He over-spoke me and said that his workers are essential to his business, and it makes them feel safer for customers to wear masks. After cashing out, the snotty cashier (I’m being very polite with my word choice here) threw my receipt down and rudely walked away.
I wish I could do this scenario over because I should have told them that customers have rights also. We have a right NOT to buy products from businesses that are so incredibly RUDE, and especially who have ZERO compassion for customers with MEDICAL...
Read moreI seem to find myself at this nursery every fall, mainly for haystacks..
This year I haven’t been able to find any healthy, full looking flowers at my other local stores. (where I usually purchase from) I want without flowers the entire summer because of that! I was determined to find some for fall for my porch. Sure behold I visited the nursery today (first day of autumn) and found a variety of beautiful healthy looking mums for a reasonable price.
I think this will be my go to place first to find beautiful flowers and plants in the...
Read moreIt was my first time at the farm stand. I was really looking forward to it cuz I love farm fresh fruit. I have to be honest I was a little shocked by the prices. But I decided it would be worth paying the higher prices for the fresh fruit and that wonderful flavor. I bought white flesh nectarines, green plums and a yellow watermelon. I ate a plum on the way home and it was sour and didn't really have flavor. Since I've been home I cut my watermelon it was juicy but was not sweet The nectarine had noflavor. The...
