I recently had the pleasure of dining at Mirchi Indian Cuisine, a charming restaurant specializing in authentic Indian dishes. Located in the heart of the city, it promised a taste of the rich and vibrant flavors of India.
Ambiance: Mirchi Indian Cuisine offered a cozy and inviting atmosphere, adorned with traditional Indian décor and soft lighting. The restaurant's warm and welcoming ambiance provided a delightful setting for a memorable dining experience.
Service: The service at Mirchi Indian Cuisine was attentive and friendly. The staff was knowledgeable about the menu and willingly provided recommendations and explanations of the various dishes. They ensured that our dining experience was pleasant, catering to our needs and accommodating any special requests.
Dishes: The standout dishes at Mirchi Indian Cuisine were the Hyderabadi dum biryani and the paneer butter masala.
Hyderabadi dum biryani: The Hyderabadi dum biryani at Mirchi Indian Cuisine was a true masterpiece. The fragrant basmati rice was cooked to perfection, layered with tender and succulent pieces of meat, and infused with aromatic spices. Each grain of rice was infused with the rich flavors, resulting in a mouthwatering and satisfying dish that was a celebration of authentic Indian cuisine.
Paneer butter masala: The paneer butter masala at Mirchi Indian Cuisine was a delightful vegetarian option. The paneer (Indian cottage cheese) was cooked in a creamy and flavorful tomato-based gravy that was perfectly balanced. The paneer cubes were soft and melted in the mouth, while the luscious gravy had a harmonious blend of spices. This dish was a delightful combination of richness and subtle tanginess, leaving a lasting impression.
Taste and Presentation: Both dishes showcased at Mirchi Indian Cuisine were not only visually appealing but also packed with flavors. The biryani had layers of vibrant colors and the aroma of spices that instantly stimulated the senses. The paneer butter masala had a vibrant red hue, accompanied by a creamy texture that perfectly complemented the tender paneer. The flavors were authentic, well-balanced, and had a delightful complexity that transported me to the streets of India.
Value for Money: Mirchi Indian Cuisine offered great value for money. The portion sizes were generous, and the quality and taste of the dishes were remarkable. The prices were reasonable considering the authentic flavors and the overall...
Read moreI'm pretty disappointed. I chose to do a deal through Uber eats for 2 Tikka Misalas. The normal price is $40 for 2 of them but the deal is buy one get one free. They charge $20 for just the chicken and the sauce, it does not even come with rice.
What makes it worse is there's absolutely no option to order any sort of side of rice . The menu doesn't have it. When I called the restaurant, the manager said he will add it to the menu later.
???? Never experienced this before.
I'm extremely disappointed in this. When I called the only solution the manager gave was to come pick up the rice, and that we should be happy we got a deal. And that we should be happy to have complimentary rice.
There's no restaurants in this area that are charging $20 just for the chicken and sauce.
Alibaba, India Gate, etc all other restaurants are charging $15-$20 for an entire platter that would have the protein, sauce, and rice.
It's kind of absurd that they believe this is a "good deal" to serve people. I don't think these 2 containers of chicken are worth $40.
If you dine in, I'm sure you can have a full meal with a drink for $40. I feel extremely disappointed that this was my first and last experience with this place. I will continue to dine at Halal Feast O, Alibaba, India Gate, Halal Guys, and pretty much any place that actually values their customers enough not to just rip them off...
Look at the size of the rice container !! I think this is absurd for $20. Not happy and this is just my honest experience.
DO NOT DO THE UBER EATS DEAL ! ITS NOT A DEAL...
Read moreTerrible terrible terrible experience. Do not recommend going here. For a south Indian restaurant their sambhar was disgusting. Inedible. Took two hours from reaching there to get our food. Staff was favorable towards people they were friends with and rude to the rest. People who came in 30 min after us got their food before us. Didn’t even ask us what we wanna order or if we needed anything throughout the 3 hours we spent there. Took up our whole evening and the food was absolutely despicable. No flavor, dry and some of it tasted out of a packet. Wait staff was straight up rude. Had to ask at least 3-4 times for any single thing to be brought out. Spent well over a $100 for a single person’s meal. Did not taste authentic. Definitely don’t recommend this place. The grocery store next door is owned by the same people and expect the same treatment there too. Placed order there multiple times only for it to be cancelled at the last second or ghosted for hours throughout the day only for the delivery boy to wake up our whole household at 11 pm for an order placed at noon and expected by late afternoon. 👎 I usually love indian restaurants and really want more of them in our community but experiences like this make me regret...
