There are some good choices here, and the finished product is very respectable - decent quality that doesnāt look cheap or cheesy.. 4 stars for product quality. If youāre not rushed for time, Iād go ahead and take your chances. However, if you need to receive the item quickly for an important event and do not have a wide enough window of time to order again (should they screw up the personalization - and they might!) just be aware that the āWeāre here to helpā motto seems to extend enthusiastically but exclusively to ordering. There are lots of friendly order takers available on line 1 to assist you, but none seem to have the ability to provide assistance or access a manager - they will eventually transfer you to line 2 - which rings about 10 times and then disconnects the both of you. The line 1 order takers have been trained to immediately and somewhat suspiciously ask at the beginning of every conversation, āAre you placing an order?ā I believe this is less rhetorical than it is strategic - because anyone needing āline 2ā customer service and discovering it to be a false front is likely to eventually try the only other option - āline 1ā ordering. Order takers are cheerful and polite to varying degrees (especially at the beginning, when they think you are ordering) but will ultimately (and as soon as humanly possible) transfer you back to the black hole that is āline 2ā. There is no-one āhere to help youā. If you find yourself in the unfortunate situation of having ordered an item that comes back misspelled (for instance, giving you a lovely $129 Rosewood retirement clock for āStephanā instead of āStephenā) and you have a large retirement event for an employee looming, my experienced advice in this matter is not to spin your wheels and waste time repeatedly calling and emailing customer service. They will not magically appear out of the abyss to assist you immediately. You may be on your own for a couple of days. If you find yourself in this unfortunate quandary, you have only one option, and I suggest you do it quickly: Immediately reorder the item (yes, pay all over again) and spend the additional $85 for the most expedited shipping (which they do have options for). Their processing is generally quick (one day), so you might still get a corrected item in time (and not potentially be left in the stressful and embarrassing situation of handing a long-time employee a retirement gift with his first name misspelled, in front of the entire company). Then, many days later, when whoever draws the short straw at Executive Gift Shoppe and is forced to fish through the frantic accumulated ācustomer serviceā emails and phone messages for the week, you can haggle with that unlucky person after the fact to receive your money back on the 1st order (and the cost of having to expedite the shipping on the 2nd order). If you eventually have the good fortune to happen upon Pete (itās the guy who signs the email on your order confirmation - I think heās the owner..), he will take care of you. Heās cordial, apologetic, and will offer immediate solutions to remedy your problems (although it may be too late for your actual event). Iād still go ahead and give Pete and his Executive Gift Shoppe a whirl but only if you have plenty of time to potentially reorder. The quality is nicer than some of your other online options, and the prices are reasonable (and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI ordered a personalized money clip for my dad for Christmas. The option I chose was a gold clip with initials. I requested in the description that it be silver if possible and to add more engraving than the description stated was allowed for this specific piece. I thought it would be a long shot, but worth asking. While I was never given a response, the joy I let out when I opened my package was indescribable. My dad is a very picky person and the most difficult person to shop for. When I saw all of my requests met, I was so excited. There is no doubt that he will love this gift and the personal touches added that this company did not have to do. They could have easily said āsure, but it will be an added costā. Instead, I paid the regular price and was given something that will be cherished for years to come. I will absolutely be coming to them...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAbsolutely stellar customer care from Executive Gift Shoppe. Pete took full ownership of the problem, offered multiple solutions, and replaced the originally purchased item with another free of charge. I was purchasing a present for my father. He is quite old and the purchase meant quite a lot to him. I really wanted to get something he wanted to bless him for putting up with me for so long. After a long internet search I found dad's present on EGS. However, upon receipt, it simply did not work. Pete took care of us instantly. He had a replacement monogrammed and sent out free of charge the same day. Whether the final product is satisfactory or not, Executive Gift Shoppe has my business because of exceptional care, compassion, and attention. Thank you Pete - you added happiness to a pretty...
