We had a tremendous experience! The staff is friendly and helpful and there's that "small town" atmosphere that one doesn't find at the bigger fairs. Mannerly farm children grooming and showing their prized animals. The best, hands down, pancakes at the local fire company food stand. The firemen also produce other wonderful county fair foods at very reasonable prices. The have great attractions including New York Sires Stakes racing, horse shows, midway rides and games, demolition derby and great musical acts. We enjoyed the Marshall Tucker band from great seats that we purchased for cheap. Marshall Tucker exceeded even our high expectations and put on one heck of a show. We highly recommend the...
Read moreI have been going to this fair for over 50 years. It hasn't really changed much except for getting more expensive. Of all the local fairs, this one is still my favorite. Something about it that keeps me coming back. The grandstand shows are always great (unless it's raining, they get canceled). The tractor pulls are always a great show. The fair is normally packed solid on tractor pull night. Most of the exhibits are the same every year. They always have a decent selection of normal fair stuff. Such as games, vendors, food, rides, and shows. Admission price includes grandstand admission for most events. Overall, it's exactly what you would expect from a country fair. Make sure you...
Read moreVery clean, not dirty like most fairs. The best food selection of any fair, lots of different food vendors and not so much duplicates of the usual. That's why we drive an hour to go. One admission of $17 which I thought was alot since I do not go on the rides. Kids 3 and up paid. Kids rode the rides included in admission fee. What I didn't like: I don't agree with tiger show going on while the noisy tractor pull was going on. Those poor animals as it is not in their native surroundings being in a small cage or asked to sit for the crowd let alone tractor pull engines screaming across the walkway. There has to be a better way...
