I just wanted to take a moment and praise a small business for always going above and beyond for their clients. My wife and I got our pistol permits back in 11/14 and we got two firearms from Mike of Cobleskill Outdoor Sports. My firearm had an issue and Mike helped me send it back in for repair, it came back a week later better than ever. Then my wife decided her 9mm was too big of a gun for her to target shoot ( she will keep the 9mm for carry conceal) so Mike suggested a very affordable .22 and we just picked that up. I have consulted with Mike several times regarding guns for my friends and my family. I have spent a lot of time “window shopping” and Mike was more than happier to answer my questions. I like to really think about things before I buy them and sometimes it’s a pain but this is a serious purchase and its best to know everything you can before you decide to buy a firearm. It’s not that easy to return and get a new one if you don’t like the firearm you just bought. Mike is very knowledgeable when it comes to firearms and he takes his business very seriously. You can see the passion he has for the business and his clients. I am always trying to find a good deal and look for the lowest price and for the most part Mike’s prices have been pretty comparable with the competition if you figure in travel time, gas and hassle to go with the other guys. I am very happy to bring my business to Mike and I am very happy to recommend his place to my friends and family who are just starting their pistol license process. I couldn’t have been more satisfied with the whole process from sale to delivery to repair. Great shop! Friendly and knowledgeable staff that is always willing to answer questions. Prices are great and the selection is fantastic. They are patient and helpful, and they are knowledgeable about the products they sell as well as up to date on laws and regulations. I've been hunting NY state since the 1978, just not in cobleskill. Kid sister and her husband bought some land and invited me up for a visit. With 3 boys 10, 8, 6 with a 3 months old there was no way I was going to sit in a cabin all day. So hunting it was. My rifle was out for repair so I borrowed my bil's but had no ammo. Stop into cobleskill outdoors sports and Mike ran my info and sold me the ammo. I would always rather pay a little more and look the owner in the eye.
