Came here at the recommendation of our officiant for our marriage license. The clerks weren’t helpful and said we had to make an appointment, which wasn’t disclosed on their website. When we told them our wedding was 48 hours away they said they didn’t know what to tell us and weren’t helpful. Another person (who walked in for a dog license) let us know we could go to Albany for a walk in request. Total waste of time and not helpful. Glad to know you can get a dog license for walk-ins and not a marriage license. The person before got hunting licenses. Glad to know they value animals (and killing them) more than humans. Ended up going to Troy instead and they were way more helpful...

A clerk called to set up an appointment for marriage license. I had a few questions about their procedures. When I asked why the website doesn't state you need an appointment for this? I informed her I knew other people who had gotten theirs without an appointment. She stated I was arguing with her and suggested I go somewhere else. There was no arguing but a simple question in a respectful tone. I find HER completely unprofessional and wish I remembered her name. I hung up on her. I will not go back to this place...
