Bowled — Restaurant in Town of Colonie

I fell in love with the La fiesta bowl at Albany’s Bowled. However, I was not driving to Albany when there is on in Latham.

The shop was clean, staff was friendly. Plus, they’re having a sale buy 1 bowl gets one 50% off until 10/14/24. So I was happy about that. ANNNDD there’s a buy 10 bowls get the 11th free stamp card. So, I’m very happy at this point.

Fast forward: I bought 2 bowls and asked for a second stamp and was told it’s per order not per bowl but was given the second stamp as a courtesy. I’m not sure why the card would say bowls and not orders, I think that’s confusing and misleading.

Salad-bowls: my La Fiesta barely had any avocado in it, usually I find avocado chunks inside. Usually, the whole salad fulls me but not today.

BOYB - This was for my mom. She said her salad had 1 walnut in the whole salad and she not sure if there was any cheese in it as she did not see or taste any in it. The jerk chicken did not have any jerk seasoning. Just tasted like plain chicken.

Both Salads were large but came with enough Salad to fill a regular bowl.( I added a picture for reference-where the dressing stops is where the salad up went to) I’m not sure if this is just because the sale is going on or not. I also wonder if that’s why they were skimp on the toppings.

Bathroom was very clean and well stocked.

Lastly, I would go back and give them another try. My Salad was good, my mom said her was good as well. We just wish there was more...

I have been going to bowled in Latham for the past year… 2-4 times a week. The salads are amazing and priced well.

More importantly the employee Justin who always seems to be there no matter what time I arrive is one of “THE BEST”customer service human beings I have ever encountered. I have gotten to know him from going there.

Each time I arrive he greets me with the utmost friendliness and remembers what I order! Justin goes out of his way to make his customers feel welcomed with a smile and conversation. I have seen him greet others with the same pleasantries . A model employee for sure.

When I order my salad , I always ask for my fruit to be cut smaller and he does it with pleasure. Now I don’t even have to ask.

The other employees are, let’s say less than welcoming. I have gone a few times when he had a day off and when I have asked one of the female employees there to cut my fruit she said “we don’t do that here”.

I have to say that if Justin ever leaves I probably will not be going there as often. It is never the same when he is not there. He makes me want to bring my business. You would think he is the owner! Anyone who hires this guy is getting a real gem. Don’t let him go! The company should recognize him and reward him for a job well done.

This location is awful, the food is terrible and tastes like nothing. I use to come here all the time but since I’ve heard the LATHAM location has new ownership it has been absolutely terrible. Every time I go there they are always out of something, OR EVEN A COCKROACH IN MY FRIENDS SALAD and I can only imagine what is blended up in the Açai bowls absolutely foul and disgusting. The employees were very sweet and the manager was amazing and gave me a refund. I will not be returning to the location and you shouldn’t either if you want bowled go to the one in Troy 10x better.

The staff is not the issue at all, it is the new ownership and the quality of the food. You clearly couldn’t comprehend the importance of the review that...
