Patrice and Paul were so unbelievably helpful with the framing project I presented them with. I was on a budget and was shocked at the gouged prices that were "60% off" at Michael's and AC Moore. The project was a 40th Wedding Anniversary gift for my Aunt and Uncle--we had a professional family portrait taken, and we wanted to matte it, and also include a plaque with a small note from us as the gift giver. She went over every aspect of the process and provided invaluable advice as to what would look best. Let's be honest, we can want blue matting all we want, but if it's going to look hiddeous, you'd want someone to steer you in the right direction before its too late. I have been having my art work framed at Morningside Gallery for years. Their attention to detail, the quality of their work, and the creative eye with which they evaluate each and every piece is unsurpassed. Do not be fooled by other stores that advertise 50 to 60% off! (I made that mistake once) Morningside Gallery promises quality work with very fair prices. In fact, they usually come in less than stores I am not mentioning! I recently recommended them to someone whose very expensive art work was damaged in the move to the area. He could not have been happier with the results. As a collector of historical autographs I wouldn't dream of allowing the latest "associate" to handle my work.
