Mulino's at Lake Isle — Local services in Town of Eastchester

UPDATED REVIEW: We were looking for a venue for my son's first birthday party & Mulino's was a no-brainer. I reached out to John Gervasi again and he was incredibly responsive & helpful. We previously had our wedding here a few years ago and know the venue is beautiful & the food is excellent. We used the Fairway Ballroom for our party and had a soft play and balloon backdrop vendor come in. John was so flexible with the menu & incredibly accommodating to those in our party that have food allergies - even came out to check they were comfortable with their food offerings! We're planning my mom's 60th birthday party in the front Gatsby room this coming summer. Love this venue - you really get what you pay for!! Book 'em!!!

ORIGINAL REVIEW: We had our wedding at Mulino's at Lake Isle in September 2022 and it was truly the best day! Mulino's has 3 separate rooms & we utilized all three. We used the front Gatsby Room for our ceremony, the back Fairway Ballroom for the cocktail hour & the Grand Ballroom for our reception...then back to the Gatsby Room for the after party. The entire venue is absolutely beautiful and modern since their renovations a few years back. What they are able to achieve with their lighting setup & TV/screens made the entire night feel magical. On top of that, the service and food & drinks were excellent. Almost every guest mentioned how amazing the food was!

Once we selected the venue, John was our maitre d' and main point of contact and I cannot tell you how helpful he is. I would shoot off an email with a LOT of questions (and I mean a lottttt of questions) and not only would he provide me full answers & recommendations, he responded incredibly quickly. My (now) husband and I went to the venue on many occasions to quickly check certain things out/take measurements and John was always happy to accommodate us. Although their house wine was good, we wanted to upgrade the wine and champagne for the night and offer espresso martinis at the viennese hour and John was able to make that happen.

On our actual wedding day, the entire Mulino's staff, especially John & Denise (my bridal attendant), checked-in on us, asked if we wanted anything to eat or drink, bustled my dress, and were there for every little thing you can imagine. They really make you feel special and well-taken care of.

In the future, I would absolutely recommend Mulino's at Lake Isle to anyone and would happily use them for any...

Words cannot even describe what an amazing wedding my husband and I had at Mulino’s at Lake Isle! My fiancé at the time lived in another state and relied on me to make certain decisions from afar. The moment I walked in to look at the venue I knew our wedding had to take place here. It’s elegant, classy, and beautiful. When my now husband saw the venue during a visit, he was taken aback by what a great choice it was! Linda, my event coordinator, worked with us and took care of everything we needed. She was extremely kind, patient, and flexible, and dealt with any changes we needed to make. She helped me put into reality my dream wedding. I wanted this to be a special day not only for my husband and I, but I also wanted to give our guests the wow factor! And we definitely did! My guests were blown away by Mulino’s at Lake Isle! Everyone I spoke to after the wedding said that this was one of the best weddings they’ve attended. They kept raving about what a beautiful venue it was and how they were so well taken care of. John, our Maitre D’ took care of my rehearsal, ceremony details, and the catering. The cocktail hour food was delicious! We created our own signature drinks, which the bartenders were happy to provide for our guests. Our guests enjoyed every bite and were pleased that they were able to take their dinner leftovers home, which is something they never got a chance to do at other weddings. My guests were so happy with the way they were taken care of by the waiters and waitresses, making sure they received the right meals. John did a fantastic job as Maitre’ D’! He even escorted my husband and I to the golf course to take pictures during the cocktail hour. We are so both pleased by Mulino’s service! My bridal attendant, Gianna, was absolutely wonderful! She graciously took care of everything we needed before and during our wedding; even packing up the food my husband and I could not finish. Originally, I planned to have my ceremony outdoors but a few hours before the start, we had to move it indoors because of rain. I am so grateful that Mulino’s had the indoor space option and that they were so accommodating. If you’re considering having a wedding, I absolutely recommend you have it at Mulino’s at Lake Isle. You, your husband, and your guests will have an unforgettable celebration! I wish I could go back and relive...

UPDATE: December 2022

After the many calls and emails, the General Manager did get involve and took care of the issue. Although it was a bit too late, they were very apologetic and tried very hard to fix the issue. They were very responsible to our concerns and took our complaints extremely serious.

We ended up eating at the restaurant attached to the Venue and the food and service was spectular. It was not our first time there but we do highly recommend it. The name is Gigante, we will for sure visit the restaurant in the future.

Org: At first sight this venue is perfect. That’s what my partner and I thought. We visited this venue back in Summer 2021 and we knew this was the place. We had Drana as our point contact and all seem to be well but we were strongly mistaken. We had asked on the same day of the tour if we could put some type of deposit to at least hold the day and we were told no. Fast forward to December 2021 (right around the holidays) we get a frantic call from Drana that someone was also looking at our date and that we need to make a deposit ASAP (which is not a small amount btw) so we did within a week of that call and never heard from her again. It was even a hassle to have her confirm that the deposit was received.

Fast forward to Summer 2022, as a couple we decided that we wanted to cancel our wedding at Mulinos due to some changes in our lives and started to reach out to Drana in September of 2022 to get our deposit back. It would take several weeks and many calls to get a two words email back from her. It is now November 2022 and not only have we not have anyone call us back (including the owner, I left about 2 voice messages) but they lied about pretty much everything. We were told one thing and then another thing was done.

For any couples looking at this venue please beware. I actually went there for a bridal shower recently and the service was ok and the food was very dry. So it solidified our decision to cancel with this venue.

Not only are they unresponsive they are completely unprofessional. We were told that the accountant was on vacation since October. Excuses after excuses. Please send your money elsewhere. Westchester has plenty of other more professional venue that will be worth...
