We were introduced to Val by our amazing wedding planner Honeydew Events. Val shares our desire to reduce waste and compost as much as possible, so we knew she was the right fit right away.
Because of that, we had some different ideas (potted herbs as centerpieces, for example) and Val was so excited to take our ideas and run with them.
Over time, we started to feel less confident in our "different" ideas. Val had us talk through our hesitations and encouraged us to trust her. The moment we let go and remembered that she's the professional, the creative, we instantly pushed our hesitations to the side and reminded ourselves we hired her for a reason.
Hot tip: brides & grooms: take a step back and trust your professionals! We also mentioned rather late in the planning process that we liked the idea of staging wine bottles over the mantle behind our sweetheart table as part of the decor. She instantly offered up her supply from a different event and took that off our hands without us even expecting it. The more ideas you have, the more energized she is. And even better if you have the idea then let her run with it without too much direction. Trust me - she's got this.
The bridal suite is right at the venue, so during the day I was able to walk around our reception space and see how it was evolving. That was one of the most fun parts of the day, because I got to see Val in her element (hard at work but with a smile on her face) and watched her/our vision come to life.
At one point Angela (our fabulous planner) came up to the Bridal Suite and proclaimed "You wanted Tuscan dinner party, you got Tuscan dinner party!"
Val absolutely nailed it with every detail. It was romantic, cozy, and truly magical. So many of our guests said it was the most romantic wedding they'd ever attended. There were a lot of details that went into creating that atmosphere - and most of them have Val's fingerprint on them.
Val brought our vision to life when we were barely able to articulate it in the first place. She will be our...

As soon as I placed the order I called and explained that I ordered flowers for my mom last year and paid the same amount and she got a bouquet that looked worse than grocery flowers for $100+. (From another local florist... So lame)
I was hoping that she didn't think I was being a pain, but I was ordering from out of state (which I guess doesn't matter) and it makes it harder to deal with issues should they arise, so I was hoping to not have to go through that again.
Anywho. They were so kind and made an incredible bouquet for my mom, they texted me a picture of it right when they dropped it off. My mom received them and was in tears.
Thank you for making this experience so amazing, and for being so accommodating.
Floral designers are incredibly special people, and it's always great to find good ones who are passionate about what they do. I will be sending ALL of my business to them in the future.
