Westgate Plaza — Local services in Town of Gates

I have visited this plaza several times. Things keep changing. I used to use the Bank of America there but it's been gone for a while. We still visit GameStop, Panera Bread and HR Block. China Wok used to be one of our go-to Chinese restaurants but their food has changed over the years and we have stopped ordering anything other than fried chicken wings from there. The chicken is still excellent. I have been to the laundromat to wash our extra large comforters because they have the large washer and dryer. The laundromat is modern and clean. The cute little diner that was there has been relocated to Brooks Ave across from the airport. I believe there is also a Tailor shop in the plaza, as well. I've never had an issue finding parking. The park behind the plaza is a nice touch. Overall, this plaza was more convenient in past times. Hopefully more businesses will fill the empty...

Went to Hair Zoo in plaza.Walked in door and on floor was a pile of dog poop.One stylist working.I said do u know what is on floor and she replied no.I told her and she said oh! Another stylist walked out from back and following her was a poodle type dog.When the first stylist told her what I said she looked @ it and turned her back. She told client i think ur dog left present by front door.He said oh ! No one did anything. Like cleaning it up .Neither asked my name or ck'd me in.I was so shocked after a min or two I said I'm leaving. I actually ran out .Took that as a sign not good idea to get hair cut there.Dog did not have anything on showing it to b a service dog.The dog was friendlier than the two working there. Had an awesome stylist there a few yrs ago so thought I would try them...

There are a variety of shops including an urgent care facility, laundromat, a tailor, a Game Stop and a barber shop to name a few. If you're hungry you can go to the China Wok where the owners are always smiling and friendly and no matter what you order, it's ready in 15 minutes or less, the portions are generous and the food is always good. The Westgate Restaurant is a local favorite that serves up a tasty breakfast (served all day), lunch & dinner. Beer and wine also available after 8am. If you're health conscious, Panera Bread is the place to go. Behind the plaza is a playground, skating park and baseball fields.
