Thrifty Shopper — Local services in Town of Geddes

I had found a cute Easter basket, I joked with my husband if it’s under $5 we were getting it, the price tag said 99 cents. ( Score) We moved further down the aisle found a smaller matching basket that said $2.99. We laughed at the pricing difference and commented they must have not been paired together when pricing, either way, I wanted both.

When I went to pay the cashier looked all over the basket, and then told me the price tag was a “mistake” because it makes no sense for the bigger one to be cheaper… and just uncomfortably stared at me. I wasn’t sure what to say so I said, “Yeah, I’m not sure, that’s the price listed.” She then told me she would “allow” it this time but stickers tend to fall off and people put cheaper ones back on. It felt almost accusatory, and passive aggressive, like she was accusing me of doing it without saying that. Truthfully, if she told me it was going to be more I would have paid it because it was a cute set.

I did not appreciate the encounter at all, I left feeling like I was being accused of doing something wrong.

I’ve donated to thrifty shopper yearly, and frequently go to this shop. After today’s experience, I may just have to start...

I recently had the chance to visit Thrifty Shoppers, and I must say, I was impressed! The first thing that caught my attention was the great prices they offer. It's refreshing to find a store where you can find amazing deals without breaking the bank.

But it wasn't just the prices that stood out. Thrifty Shoppers had a wide variety of cool stuff. From clothing to electronics, home decor to books, there was something for everyone. It felt like a treasure trove of unique and interesting items, and I found myself browsing through the aisles for much longer than I had planned.

The staff at Thrifty Shoppers were friendly and helpful, which added to the overall positive experience. They were knowledgeable about the products and willing to assist me with any questions I had. It's always a pleasure to shop in a store where the employees genuinely care about customer satisfaction.

Prices are getting insane specifically on furniture at this location. Look at this fridge for example. They want almost $550 for a fridge that’s “new” however the front looks like this and the inside smells! That is asinine pricing since brand new ones go for $650 being clean and actually new! This used to be one of my favorite thrift stores but even the staff has gone extremely downhill. I had a staff member staring me down and giving me dirty looks as I was talking about the INSANE pricing on their furniture. The only incredible staff member there is Kenise, she is always helpful and extremely bubbly. I really hope this location changes their pricing policy because it’s starting to become so expensive that it is pricing the people they were designed to help...
