I'm giving this place two stars instead of one because I got a new phone, at the very least. Other than that, it was just a big hassle. I seriously question ALL of these 5 Star reviews. For example, if you look at the most recent reviews, they ALL talk about "Adam". Read on for my REAL experience in dealing with this place.
Last month, I went to this "Authorized Retailer" (It is NOT a Verizon Store despite looking JUST like one) to order the new iPhone. I spoke with Nik. We discussed my options: trade-in value on the old phone, new phone payoff, and new plans (I'm on a family plan). He took the time to write everything out, and I felt very confident in what I was getting once I left. So far, so good!
The issues started once I went to get the new phone. To begin with, this store should have notified me that the phone had arrived. They did not. I only found out it was in (days after it arrived) because I checked the tracking. When I went in to get it and trade in my old phone, I sat with Brandon. During this process, I realized that everything I discussed with Nik was either untrue or never noted in my account. As a result, my new plan(s) never got activated, and I couldn't pay off the difference for the phone as promised. I'm not sure why this was the case, but there was some excuse regarding the convoluted process. When I paid the bill, I realized this wasn't even a corporate store! Once I got home, I needed more confidence about everything in the account, so I wanted to speak with Nik to review everything. I called the store and left my number. They said Nik would call. He never did.
Now, weeks later, I had to call Verizon directly to get the changes made that we discussed at this store. The person said there was NO record of any changes to be made. Also, I am still waiting to receive the trade-in value of the phone that I left with the store. I'm hoping this store even sent out my old phone, and it's not just sitting in a box in the back.
I suggest that you avoid this store. Instead, go to a REAL Verizon store. That first experience was great, but I feel they say whatever they can to get you to buy. After that, you're...
Read moreDon’t go into to this place thinking they have your best interest in mind! Their only goal is to make sales and rip you off on the purchase of accessories. After purchasing a new iPhone and otterbox case the salesman says ,”I’m going to put a glass cover on for you.” Little did I know it was not part of the otterbox case that I bought but a separate screen protector which cost $40! There was no talk of the additional cost before it was put on my new phone! They wouldn’t refund my money because it was opened even after I called Verizon directly and they stated it could be returned before 14 days. I also learned that they are an independently run store and not actually a official Verizon store. Don’t go there. Go to a real Verizon store that doesn’t try to take advantage of you. All the accessories are way overpriced as you can purchase most of them for half the price on amazon. The $40 protector I was forced to buy was $5 on amazon for example. I love Verizon service but these types of shady business practices are going to give...
Read moreStopped in to the Glenville, NY store to replace my iphone 5C which was on its last legs in terms of battery power. Met with Jon V who considering the customer load in the store at the time, was very patient and professional with me as he helped me navigate through the huge selection I could upgrade to. I finally settled on a Pixel 3. However, it turned out that my 2018 Toyota Tacoma didn't play well with the Pixel 3. (No fault of Verizon) Jon went out to the truck to try various things to see if I could get full functionality of the phone integrated with the truck. After several attempts it was decided that maybe I would switch back to an iPhone. Since the iPhone I was interested was not in stock at the time, Jon picked one up for me on his day off and brought it over for me to make the switch. After arriving at the store it took all of 15 minutes to drain the data from the pixel 3 and drop it into the iPhone 8. To me this is real...
