I purchased a new pair of jogging pants from here. I made sure to ask if they could be returned if they didn't fit my husband. I had to take them back because they were too big. The clerk sold them to me with the tag off. When I returned them the clerk said she couldn't take them back because the tag was off ( it was in the pocket as it had been when I purchased them.) I told her that's how they were sold to me and I was told I could return them. I just needed a smaller size, so I asked if I could exchange them for a different size. Christy, who was the clerk, was rude and didn't hide her irritation from the second I showed her the jogging pants to the end when I told her the clerk checked me out with the tag unattached to the pants.
The fact that the store didn't try to rectify what mistake they made in the first place is greedy somehow. This store makes a lot of money off of donations. I can't tell you how many clothes I've donated there over the years, and the one time I purchase something, the store acts like I'm asking too much by asking for to exchange a purchase for a smaller size! It's unexcusable. I feel Goodwill has gotten more and more greedy because of the amount of money they make, and they don't try to accommodate the customer who has a receipt and purchased the item the day before. A little higher quality customer service and appreciation would be nice since it's the community who donates to the Goodwill stores throughout the USA! Goodwill needs to be a little grateful for those who donate, and they need to be appreciative to their customers. Christy told the manager on duty about the situation. The manager only gave me a dirty look. She did not try to come out and offer an explanation or resolution. Those of you who need to return or exchange something, make sure the tag is on before you leave the store and when you take...
Read moreWent there yesterday bought a few items, the cashier, young, major attitude, over charged me. She stated my amount was 26.43. When I saw the receipt she had charged me 29.58. I was looking at my receipt as I left the store and walked out to my car. I looked at my items and noticed she charged me for an extra item at the last minute, after she had told my original total. I went back into the store and spoke with her and she had actually accused me of stealing an item. I was livid. This young girl, with stank attitude had accused me of taking an item from Goodwill. Another cashier came out of the cashier's room and she called her over to help and explained that I said she double charged me but I had another person with me and she took something. Nope, first her story was I stole something, then it was someone I was with stole something. Really kid, you made a mistake own up to it and move on. If the cashier would have had a better attitude or even had a bit of decorum, I would have let it go but she had to throw the stank attitude. If this is the kind of service Grand chute Goodwill has to offer it's customers....nope, pass, there are three other stores in the area with better...
Read moreThis location is fine, but the management has items being re-tagged to avoid them being on clearance. We were accused of putting a tag over another tag on an item, the manager was called and peeled off the sticker, and lo-and-behold the $1.99 pink sticker was covering up a $2.99 color of the week (half off blue) sticker. We ended up paying $0.50 less than we expected because this backfired on them and they outed themselves. The manager could not get away fast enough after this was revealed. Obviously $0.50 isn’t a big deal, but dishonest pricing and sales is quite...
